A few tips to help flatten a board and make it square/Jointing and planing wood to make it flat

What happens when your wood bends as you cut it and how do you fix it. In this video I use my jointer and planer to remove the bend out a board that occurred when I was re-sawing lumber. I share a few tips that help me make wood for a project flat and square

Duh !!!!!!!!! I have been using a jointer ( incorrectly) for more years than you have been alive! Thanks for teaching this old dog how to correctly push the curved board and not push the board down on the jointer.

After fighting severe cupping in some of my boards, I finally found this video and just by simply rotating the boards and just using extremely light pressure, the cupping is gone

You have to build a sled and attach the wood to it

A3-41....I really like it. Been going strong for 7 years+, no issues so far. I use the guard some times. I just never got used to it. Functionality wise....its amazing.
