I have used EBC brake pads on my motorcycles for years and they are well known in the bike community. EBC is privately owned company with it's roots in the U.K. The initial concept behind EBC was to produce a quality line of braking components manufactured in the U.K. only so that a consistent product was being made. EBC Brakes produce the largest range of brake pads and brake discs in the world, with over 5000 part numbers for every type of moving vehicle. EBC Brakes are made in one of its two specialist factories in the UK and USA. (They are sold in China but none of their parts are made there.) The majority of EBC brake discs or brake rotors are also made in the UK. They also sell matched brake sets with discs that are balanced and weigh the same to ensure each wheel carries the same loading.

Eric knows this but for everyone else, depress the brake pedal slightly with a bar or stick wedged against the driver's seat, this will prevent/minimize brake fluid dripping when replacing the brake line.
Also, try to prevent brake fluid and grease from contacting the pads which can bake in and create glazing, hot spots, and shorten their lifespan. Same with the rotors. If they become contaminated make sure to clean them well, eh ehm . . .

Added a step to bleeding brakes
Use a longer hose, place end of hose into a quarter mason jar with about 2 inches of brake fluid in it. Keep the hose as close to the bottom as possible. Leave the bleeder completely open them pump the brakes, the old fluid will float on top of the new, and during the process not pull air into the piston/cylinder.

EBC is European Brake Company and it’s all I’ve ever put on my motorcycles for the last 30-40 years. I totally swear by them. The only pads I ever came across that I would say are as good if not better were Ferrodo pads. But they were way more expensive.
I get the sintered metal pads as well (so they have brass flakes in them. They chew up the rotors after a while, but as we used to say in Yorkshire, you can be doing a ton plus and still stop on a sixpence. Or to translate that can be going more than a hundred and stop real quick. Hopefully fast enough to miss the Volvo that just pulled out in front of you :)

I had no idea the green pads made from Unicorn Tears could be so aggressive ?, but I'm going to stick with the standard high end ceramic ... I also love the CRC silicone brake grease in the tube ... seems to hold up really well in PA (another rust belt state) ... I'm always torn between regular undercarriage washing (and/or with rust inhibitor ?) .... as regular washing seems to also (maybe) cause premature caliper piston seizing ? ... no a big deal as I replace them often with decent rebuilds ... as an old seasoned Rally driver once told me in my 20's ... "kid it ain't always how fast you can go, but how fast you can brake when things get dicey" ... A good friend of mine has one (actually his second) and yes, I tease him about his little "clown car". However, his first one served him well for nearly 200k miles before he traded it in on this one. He drives 120 miles round trip to work 5 or 6 days/week along with other running around and he loves that little car. He does have a 4x4 pickup for really nasty weather and when he needs to haul something, but usually the Sonic does just fine. If I was looking for something just to zip around town in, a Sonic would definitely get a look.

Green Stuffs are great 'streetable' brakes. They bite enough to use them on the street without needing heat in them first, but they work really well when hot, vs the usual organic pads out there that fade away (faster) once they get toasty. Some guys make the mistake of buying Red Stuff pads and end up running into people and things. They _require_ heat to work. When they get hot, oh boy they work, though.

@@jaymzx0 yea mine didn't last very long. I like the Wagner thermoquiets now for daily drivers. They make no noise, cost a third of the price of ebc, and last longer. I also had issues with ebc pads not fitting correctly in the caliper. It's like the casting was off which I think lead to excessive vibration and wear.

My favourite experience with that was when I brought some rebuilt OEM axles to be installed. Shop said they couldn't warrenty them, and wanted to order me a set of "OE approved" axles, for like 4 times what I paid to rebuild the ORIGINAL axles. Needless to say I just sucked it up and did the install myself.
