Let me tell you guys, this is a great video. I bought the Rallye Red 1100 mile FA5 on BaT in 2019. I drove it for 11,000 miles, and unfortunately sold it due to family arrangement and vehicle needs. I now have an FL5. They are both great cars, and while I prefer the FL5 for obvious reasons, the soul of the cars are very sibling like. However, that 6,000-7,500 power band on a curvy back road, just so full of life with impeccable throttle response in that k20z3. Classic Honda; and I wish I could have both.
I did a Hondata Reflash on my FG2 to get rid of that rev hang. Total game changer.
I also have an 09 Si daily driver, but built k20/24 and turbocharged. The new cars are definitely nicer inside but I’ll always be a og k20 fan.

As much as a Super car the 10th Gen & 11th Gen Civic Type-R is, the 8th Gen & 9th Gen Si to me are a better car over all and have more tuning potential than the Type-R in the long run...

I’ve been watching your channel for a while now. Originally, I was looking at an Elantra N when I was going the shared single car route with my fiancé. We ended up going the 2023 VW GTI route but it was plagued with cosmetic issues and electrical issues. It ended up being bought back by VWGOA in August. I also had an order for 2023 Subaru BRZ Limited that I never cancelled and it happened to show up that same week. I grabbed it because it was “meant to be”. However, the Type R, and the older SI’s would be cool to own.

im in college rn and the 8g civic si is actually a high contender on my list. a handful of people in my schools car club have even owned one at some point. glad to know they've got a lot going for them!

I have zero interest in adaptive cruise control or lane centering and glad my FG4 doesn't have either. More tech that can break. Isn't the point of cruise control to maintain a certain speed? If you want to adjust your speed according to conditions, then just use the "accel/decel" buttons or turn off the cruise control entirely.
The new Type-R doesn't look like a Transformer, great ride there👍👍
