Not in a bad way, we would have looked adorable, but we would have been just your average Orange County teenagers. But with my wiling and conniving I was like, 'You know what would be super great is if we could get this Chanel dress for this [prom] episode,' and it kind of all came together.” But the handbags were mostly fakes.

Yeah, the polo trend was huuuuge in the US. Specifically the skin-tight colorful polo, usually from Abercrombie or Hollister. They were so aggressively long (to be worn with low-waisted jeans ofc) they made your proportions look absolutely wild
jenny always serves like she has never disappointed me. And Blair will be always my role model, she has such a unique style and you can tell she expresses what she is feeling through her outfits

Cassie's style was heavily influenced and inspired by Hannah Murray's own style. I remember back in the day she said that she somewhat regrets giving Cassie her "personal appearance", as it felt like she lost the license to her own style when Cassie gained it, or her own outfits became a costume or character wardrobe. Maybe she feels different today, seeing how just much authenticity and life it gives Cassie.

Yes, we wore those Hollister/Lacoste/Ralph Lauren polos, we even layered them 🥲🥲🥲 i actually grew up in the OC area too, so the clothing in this show is exactly what the preppy and beach kids wore. The other kids were MySpace emo/Scene kids.

Last year I wanted to indulge in a Skins era for summer. I never watched Skins growing up even when it was coming out at the right time for me. I live in a third world country so people didn't dress like they did in the TV and of course, I wasn't a confident girl nor did I do anyhting like the show (thank god!). But I wanted to try that style that still felt nostalgic. Somewhat experimental. Kid like but free and, let's be honest, I missed the 2010's. I wanted to live that Indie Sleaze dream. Of course, nothing in my wardrobe fits the vibe! I would love to see you try it and dress like a Skins character.
