Angel Feather on keeper made a mockery of that triple troll fight, I love how many different scenarios you can run into in this game

Hey, I think 7 damage to all is pretty good here.

I kinda want to just make a custom version of the hand that's just the 7 damage on all sides (with the troll king stomp instead of fire) and call it "The Foot"

@alasdairsinclair916 and instead of sabres, he spawns with "sheaths" which only has the death sides

EDIT: I think you should definitely practice playing around the tier 4 generates more. I will admit not every single one is a winner, but they are MUCH better generally than you think
Housecat seems pretty straightforward to me: it's decent early (has decent early game sides), you have a rough midgame, then you get to play around tier 4s in the endgame. I get that tier 4s often have uneven distribution across their sides, but they almost always have super strong left and middle sides, and if you plan ahead, you can pick items that capitalize on that distribution. I would put Housecat right next to Dice and Robot as one of the most powerful greens.
As a side note, Housecat gets even better on Unfair because you often have to take curses that essentially require you to play down a character.

Even picking for tier 4s, you frequently do not get a single good item with them. Very few items allow you to spread around the left side, since the left side tends to be the best. And if you don't get those items, then you just have gambler, and gambler is not good.

Gambler is inconsistent and overall pretty bad. But what about super gambler? In many cases, all it takes is one hit and you win the fight. Is being able to do a small thing consistently better than doing a huge thing inconsistently? It obviously depends. Personally, I find that S&D rewards you very well for being having an inconsistent but very powerful character on your team. Last time I had Housecat I took a couple of T4’s that synergized well with me team. The first turn of the final boss, I whiffed and had to stall. I hit on the second turn (which matches right up with the 1/6 probability for hitting a desired side) and I one-shot the boss. This seems to me like a very viable and normal way to approach the endgame in S&D.

@@mrdevonscookthis mentality is not conducive to win streaking imo. If you play characters with 1 or 2 good sides your gonna randomly die with no counter play simply bc of RNG. The game is not about playing the best average character, it’s about mitigating risk. Doesn’t matter how cool and awesome your t4 is, if he goes all xs turn one your gonna randomly lose sometimes.
Every run is winnable, taking gambler type characters is just giving the game a free pass to kill you.

@@willw5868 Just barely finished another Housecat run on Hard. Currently on a 7 winstreak with at least one other cat run in the streak. I don't understand the logic of this argument. Is rolling a 5-damage exert on Stalwart on turn 1 going to save me against the Hand? Probably not. Every character has good sides and bad sides and when it comes to the late game, characters have to hit their good sides for you to win
Also, there are so many ways to mitigate the impact of X's on your characters if you plan ahead. In the run I just finished I picked right2.Blank as my lvl 4 starting curse knowing that having two blank right sides would have little to no effect on my T4s later in the game. It worked out swimmingly. I also got the spell Hack, which replaces blanks with 4 damage.
I haven't even mentioned yet in this thread that T4s get an additional max HP boost which is worth a lot! I stand by my edit to the original post. I think Voyix needs to be less afraid of the X's on tier 4s and get more practice playing around them, especially if he wants to dive into Unfair.

@@mrdevonscook even if you want to consider stalwarts exert an X, he still has 5 useable sides. 4-5 good sides is fine, your not risking much. Anything more than that and you run the risk of randomly dying.
To win 20+ games in a row it’s best to avoid gambler type characters, they will get you killed often. Unless you have a way to play around Xs. Which is possible, but not particularly common.
Playing with a lot of Xs works out until it doesn’t, then you lose. Which is fine if u don’t mind losing every once and a while. But if you want to win dozens of games in a row it’s gonna get u killed

Not meant as criticism, but was there an idea with keeping the pain side on agent into dragon or peaked capping a quad use just wasn’t a big deal?

I think his brain just thought "I have parry" so he kept the pain for the parry angle. If learn parry was on keeper, it would have saved keeper's life after all.
