Holy shit! That is one of the thickest tones I've ever heard! Amazing player!
Because it's not soaked in distortion and gain. Heavenly.
Love to see a Captain meets JD Simo.
That'd be incredible!
Every notes means something. He is not thinking in terms of sequential notes of scales either. Playing lots of fast chord tones. Top player.
I found Jared a little over a year ago. His guitar phrasing and voice are perfectly matched. BLUES POWER!!!
I saw Jared open for Zakk Wylde in LA. This dude is awesome
Miles Abbruscato I saw him open for zakk in portland and he blew my mind
I saw him in Barcelona (Spain) opening for Zakk too and it was a revelation. He plays guitar in another level. Great tone, finger style, great voice, what else?
I hope I can see him again soon.
Saw him in Portland too...he set the bar pretty high as an opener. The guy went absolutely nuts on stage. When he first started playing, both me and my wife looked at each other and made strumming motions; him playing with his fingers was so unusual and awesome to see.
Saw him in Madrid too, hope he will come again soon
I just saw him open for Fozzy in London Ontario Canada
Jarred is such an underrated player in my opinion.
very much, he is a great player!!
This guy is straight out of 1975
TastyChevelle except he has that over done technique that Guthrie started
He must be the secret son of Ted Nugent
@@StopPrism4251 what technique are you referring to?
The guy from Workaholics can really play!
Saw this guy with Wylde in Minneapolis, sounded unreal. Can't wait to catch him again
I was there, He nailed stranglehold, once he did that i was in! Great show
Are fingers made of wood? How is he getting that tone??
CookieDee11 many, many non-wooden elements are all contributing to his electrified tone.
His fingers are little turtle shells
Well, not just what fingers are made of is essential,
but actually the strength of the arms that are moving
the Fingers. What people actually almost never tell you,
is that you need quite some strength to get a good tone
quality during big string-bends. I means look at Gilmour,
the guy is/was built like a lumberjack.
This dude is so passionate about what he does, great player.
Jared is like a young Zakk Wylde in the Pride & Glory days. Fantastic player - I'm glad to see Epiphone are making a signature of his Old Glory!
he's tone and sound is like his playing with a pick
Strat TelePaul Dildos are 2nd.....they ruined my marriage. I just couldnt stop using em.
What an awesome dude and player! Thanks for having him on.
Cool interview! I love Jared James Nichols he's got so many cool jams out there. He's truly a inspiration for me.
Great interview with a great guy & artist!!
Finally - been waiting for this ever since he posted on his Facebook he's been visiting you. Great interview, great playing and great start into the weekend. Thanks, Lee!
Thanks for the interview Lee! Jared is just out of this world, great down to earth guy.
I've been waiting for this for so long!
Saw him on the Book of shadows II tour with Zakk. Absolutely killed it.
Met this amazing artist this year, most humble down to earth guy. You'll def be seeing him a lot in the future!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Jared is suce A great Man and great player. Met him at a Zakk giga in Bordeaux. Guy impressed me So much. And he is So kind with everyone. Always smiling.
this man will be legend! i saw him live, he was AWSOME!
awesome interview, you can tell the captain is a great player as well, he knows just what to ask. And Jared is a beast!
How amazing this story is.
This dude is so Zen. American Zen. And Lee's jamming sounded superb. Probably his best playing I've seen in these A's videos. Well done!
Just following Jared around UA-cam at the moment! Straight out of the 70's, top dude 🤘
Love this guy.....amazing player....old school baby....and love his B.L.S Ring......
Jared is a badass that's for sure. Been keeping up with him and his music for awhile.
He looks like a younger brother of Cliff Burton \m/
Never heard about this guy...... he got a follower here....
What a genuinly Nice and Down to Earth guy! And some really good playing aswell!
Saw him at his first ever show in Florida he is really such a great guitar player also super nice! Glad to see him get more coverage.
I first saw Jared supporting Glenn Hughes last year, it was a mesmerising experience. I saw him again in the summer and had a chat after the show, such a great guy.
This is my cousins boyfriend and at all of our family events he always brought his guitars and would sing/ play for us. Crazy to think he has made it this far!
I never heard this interview. Simply awesome. Really like his down to earth attitude and his positivity. Time to look further into his catalog of music. Hope to see you perform back here in Boston Massachusetts!!
Never heard of this guy before, so thanks! Fantastic player and seems a really cool fella as well.
Awesome guy. And an awesome player, this video is one of my faves now. :)
Jared is an awesome dude. Great stuff.
I've thrown away all my picks and where is my LP with the P-90s. This dude is so tasteful and smooth Thanks Captain for this one!
Amazing life story!!!
I met Jared in Charlotte n.c when I went to see zakk wylde on his book of shadows 2 tour. He was super cool and down to earth. Funny thing is he was walking around outside and I had no idea who he was. We talked for a bit and had a few laughs then I go inside for the show and then boom jared took the stage and I was like holy shit its him! Then he started playing and blew me away! Been a fan ever since
Phonomenal players!!!
Thank you for the introduction sir! Phenomenal! That is all I have to say about that.
Great video. Jared is amazing!
Never heard of this guy before but what a cool story and what a cool player. Will definitely check out his stuff.
Jared is a very dynamic player. Sounds unbelievable!!!
Saw him opening for Zakk Wylde this summer and had a brief chat to him after and nabbed his album - great player, cheers for the interview chaps :)
AWESOME!!!!!
I’m the same, I write with my left hand but play a right handed guitar without a plectrum. There’s something about being able feel the full control of each note you’re hitting. So awesome!
I'm glad Jared followed his heart, I like his signature sound.
Captain meets Chris buck ;)
great player
the last 2minutes; brilliant!!!
this guy is my favorite guitarist
I can´t wait to see where this guy is going!
18:20 so refreshing to hear from someone so young !
Captains playing reminds me of a tough guy who doesn't need to beat people up anymore. He does just enough to make you not want to fuck with him...you know he could rip it up if he wants to.
I saw Jared open for Zakk Wylde in Madrid. He rock down the house to pieces, it was amazing.
Also, the captain needs more coffee.. XD
His ability to bend is the best I've ever seen. Just uncanny.
Awesome!
the captain meets Jared Dines 😊 love the vids, cheers from the NL!
I'd never heard of this fella. Thanks for the introduction, Captain.
My new favorite player
very sweet opening jam
He is friggin awesome.
Very inspiring, straightforward guy \m/
I agree with everything he says and he plays fantastic.
Wow, Jared has come a long way!
Damn I just found out about this guy yesterday... And he played NYC last month. Damn missed it!!!
saw this guys open for walter trout in exeter and met him afterwards such an awesome guy super tall as well haha
The Captain meets - Matt Schofield !
Captain meets Chris Buck?
He is amazing.
This guy is legit grounded man, you can listen to him.
Another guest with a Custom. All Riiight!
Seems like such a nice guy, great player too
very cool but still waitin for JD Simo.
Great video Captain... I love the meat and potatoes players (I mean that as a huge compliment). I love how he stuck to his guns and left Berklee. Yes, formal training is great, but you can't teach soul.
Mud Wiser having academic knowledge doesn't mean you don't have soul.
@zackcoffman, he never said that. he said you can't learn how to feel your playing, putting your heart in every note, that aspect of playing just cant be taught. and knowing a bunch of friends who went to music colleges here in canada, they came out knowing way more then they did when they first got it, but played like shit afterwards, they had lost that touch of feeling that made them , them. thats all mud wiser said...you cant teach soul.
Zack, I'm not getting get into a discussion of differing opinions (especially with a guitar playing brother) but I stand firmly behind my comment 'formal training is great, but you can't teach soul'
I second that!
Man! Jareds a great player. Could watch for hours. Also Lee I think your first solo jam at the start was possibly my favourite you've done so far. Awesome playing dudes!
I love the captain! He just goes for it
What a cool dude.
this guy Jared is amazing! I've never heard another guitarist who doesn't use a pick sound like this.
Jared is a total legend.
BIG tone... wow!
gran musico, gran guitarrista!!!!
Get Chris Buck on the show.
Big plus one! Messaged Lee about this only a week or so ago. Totally in love with Chris's playing.
Great player
What a nice bloke!
these videos are awesome as fuck
Been listening to JJ Nichols' stuff for a long time and man, what a player! You should have an interview with Tyler Bryant one of these days :)
The Captain Meets - Eric Clapton !!! A neighbor of Andertons !!! Right down the road, man.
That thickness from bridge pickup is insane
Holy Shit!!! It's Alan.....Sorry Vim, from Bad News
I'm a fan of this guy. His music is pretty amazing and he is a pretty decent singer as well
You should do a Captain meets with Paul. The Paul who does your Paradiso episodes. Would love to hear his back story.
The Captain looks VERY tired in this interview.
Great player and great interview. thank you!
You have to get Scott Holiday (Rival Sons) on the show! They are in the UK in January, perfect timing ;)
Wow so deep
I would love to see chappers play and do a video with Jared Nichols.
