    Every notes means something. He is not thinking in terms of sequential notes of scales either. Playing lots of fast chord tones. Top player.

      I saw him in Barcelona (Spain) opening for Zakk too and it was a revelation. He plays guitar in another level. Great tone, finger style, great voice, what else?
      I hope I can see him again soon.

      Saw him in Portland too...he set the bar pretty high as an opener. The guy went absolutely nuts on stage. When he first started playing, both me and my wife looked at each other and made strumming motions; him playing with his fingers was so unusual and awesome to see.

    Are fingers made of wood? How is he getting that tone??

    • @PedalExperiments
      @PedalExperiments 7 років тому +2

      CookieDee11 many, many non-wooden elements are all contributing to his electrified tone.

    • @rtxf

      His fingers are little turtle shells

    • @yannick2047
      @yannick2047 2 роки тому +1

      Well, not just what fingers are made of is essential,
      but actually the strength of the arms that are moving
      the Fingers. What people actually almost never tell you,
      is that you need quite some strength to get a good tone
      quality during big string-bends. I means look at Gilmour,
      the guy is/was built like a lumberjack.

    • @philavon1358
      @philavon1358 7 років тому +4

      @zackcoffman, he never said that. he said you can't learn how to feel your playing, putting your heart in every note, that aspect of playing just cant be taught. and knowing a bunch of friends who went to music colleges here in canada, they came out knowing way more then they did when they first got it, but played like shit afterwards, they had lost that touch of feeling that made them , them. thats all mud wiser said...you cant teach soul.

    • @mudwiser1391
      @mudwiser1391 7 років тому +4

      Zack, I'm not getting get into a discussion of differing opinions (especially with a guitar playing brother) but I stand firmly behind my comment 'formal training is great, but you can't teach soul'
