When EYL hooked up with Diddy for Investfest and gave $1m, I knew he was paying for a public image laundering PR job. Same with Van Jones. I realised EYL is a "Media Company" not a church so I ain't mad. Get the money fellas. Better than a "random" (Killa Cam) getting the dough for the same work.
I was thinking the same. A PR stunt or hush money so that they wouldn't speak on his situation when he came out. Either way, I knew it difnt come from "the kindness of his heart" or because he "believed in the platform and its positive impact". He hoped their platform would be used to help him in some form or fashion.
From what was mentioned later, they never actually received the real check.

Kenny Burns is making my mind explode. The Entertainment Realm is not the only platform you are comparing. As a retired Black Female Army Officer, serving over 26 years, we also have a subculture that is, Black Military Officers. We are taught mentorship from Senior Army Officers. Our responsibility is to help Enlisted Soldier and Junior Officers succeed and progress. We help enlisted personnel get their civilian education. We also help their spouses and kids obtain high education. Why do we do it? Because it helps us all succeed and with retention. We all have a tough time in the military as African Americans. We are tested and challenged, when we are asked to deviate and not follow the law, our Oath, and military regulations. Once you are tainted that way, and you steer the ones you are responsible for in the wrong direction, you are then the problem…..a cancer that must be removed.
