Dude you were a great help! Due to the lockdown i decided to pick up handstands, it has been a week and I have been fearful of falling over. I mustered up all my courage and tried it (without the wall)... and fell flat on my back. After seeing this video.. I learnt how to fall over using a cartwheel and it gave me alot of courage to continue practising. Awesome content. You got yourself a new subscriber! :)
very nice and throughout instructions on how to make - practice - exercise - yoga - hand stand - the safe landing down without injury. thank you for your wholehearted effort and patience to take us step by step on the entire ritual of hand stand !!
@Yuri Marmerstein When doing kikcups I tend to kick and land with my right leg. In the video you kick with your left and land with the right. I've been having trouble with this kind of bail even tho I can do a cartwheel, could this be the reason?
nope, I kick and land always with the same leg, in this case the right. makes it way simpler some people swiitch legs unintentionally but there is no advantage to this. I think your issue may be technical or psychological restrictions that are more complex than YT comments discussion allows for
@@yurimar Hey Yuri, I never noticed you replied. My hs progress has been slow so I'm coming back to this video. I learned to cartwheel but my natural instinct when bailing from an actual hs is to walk my left hand forward and lower my left leg down, but I don't do the elegant twist that you and other handbalancers do. So I learned the cartwheel, I can safely come down from overbalancing, but I could never put both together and bail with the twist. Got any wisdom for this situation?
@@iroveashe it's hard to tell what you're doing from your description. as long as you can exit a handstand safely from any direction that's the most important. I also offer online coaching if you wish to get more specific individual advice

awesome! glad to hear it
This is golden. The concept of thinking of your cartwheel as a continuation of falling makes me less afraid of going from handstand to cartwheel.

Thumbs up for "Wanderer above the sea of fog" amazing painting.
Thank you so much this is Soo helpful🙏🙏🙏
Being able to flip for the first time is so bizarre and feels so good once you're safe
8:30 cartwheel fall
Thank you 😀
Do you have any videos on bailing out of a handstand (or headstand) using a forward roll?
no because I don't consider that a bail-out. i classify it as a tumbling skill
Great !! :)
is bending elbows fine?
depends on the context

Meh I just fall on my back lol.
I just fall into a bridge/ back bend same lol
Did it hurt?
@@minakshikumar4532 not if you do it properly
:( I am afraid to fall in my back or bridge... I m afraid I will break back bone or hip bone
@@minakshikumar4532 Well the trick is to go into a roll. You can also try just putting your legs down so you're doing a bridge.
