What you do is beautiful. Our relationship with Lebanon is so flawed due to the lies and deception we were told. Each Lebanese "faction" has its own view of this place. No common identity.. We are pushed to leave the land on which we were born, the people we love because of all of these stories that make living in Lebanon almost impossible.
لو كان في صراع حقيقي بين الديانتين في المشرق المنطق بيقول انه بعد الف واربعمية سنة صراع لازم ديانة قضت على التانية وما كنا هالقد منوعين،، ما تنسوا انه اليهود قبل مية سنة كانوا طائفة مهمة في كل المشرق والدروز طبعا وكتير ديانات ما بنعرفها في لبنان متل الازيدية والصابئة
تاريخياً
منذ 1400 سنة
لم يكن هناك أي تصادم (اسلامي - مسيحي)
بالمنطقة الجغرافية التي تقع عليها البلدان العربية حالياً ، بل ان بعض ( مسيحيو الشام ) ساعدوا العرب المسلمين في معاركهم ضد جيوش الروم (المسيحيين)
التعايش بين الطوائف سهل جداُ وموثق تاريخياً
لكن السياسيين يفسدون هذا التعايش لمصالحهم الخاصة

لا يوجد مسلم ومسيحي كلهم اهل الارض ولكن التوجهات الدينيه اختلفت، يوجد كثير من الامريكيين تحولوا للبوذيه وعددهم بالملايين هل هذا يعني انهم اصبحوا هنود . لكن التخلف الفكري في المنطقه وعدم فهم الهويه والتاريخ وتمسيح الجوخ لاموال النفط غسل دماغ الناس
كيف ساعدوهم ، هذا كلام غير اكاديمي عاطفي وفارغ. البلاد كانت بيزنطيه وكان حضاره راقيه تشبه العصر الهلنستي وكانت حضاره دمج الشرق بالغرب ضمن مساواه وعدل وافتخر بتلك العصور . جاء الامويين والبدو بعقليات متخلفه عشائريه قسمو البلاد وخلقوا فوضى حتى جاءت الثوره العباسيه من فرس وسريان والسكان الاصليين بغطاء اسلامي،

العلاقة بين المسلمين والمسيحيين بالعكس لم يكن هناك صراعات بين الاثنين سابقا ،لقد اتحدوا ضد الحروب الصلبية فرسان المعبد الدي لم يستثني اي احد وحروب ضد التتار وغيرها ،لانهم كانوا وطنين ومتعايشين ومصيرهم مرتبط ببعض ولكن ما شفناه من الحرب الاهلية اللبنانية هي صراع تغذي من نتيجة تدخلات الدول الغربية واسرائيل التي كانت لها دور كبير في تأزيم الوضع اللبناني بل الي الان الوضع هش جدا حاله مثل الدول العربية التي تحتوي علي اكتر من دين من ليبيا 🇱🇾 احييكم دمتم بخير
يحق لاي لبناني. اي يعتنق ما يريد ويذهب للمسيحين او يخلق دين جديد عصري يمزج الفلسفات كلها بفلسفه جديد ه اساسها العلم بعيده عن الخرافه. وهذا هو العصر الغربي الحديث الذي اثبت نجاحه.
لبنان منذ الأزل كان عربي مسألة عروبة الكنعانيين (الاموريين الفينيقيين) أمر شبه محسوم بين الأوساط العلمية سواء كان جيني أو لغوي أو حتى من عند المؤرخين القدامى الروم عندما خرجوا مهزومين من الشام دمرو عشرات المدن لأن هذا ما يفعله الغازي دوماً وهذا ذكره المؤرخ السرياني الرصافي ومن المثير للاهتمام هو تحول المسميات فجأة عندما اختفى اسم الاراميين حل محله اسم العرب وكذلك الحال مع الفينيقيين غالبية مناطق ولاية فينيقية كانت عربية لا بل كلها مثل تدمر العربية الصخرية (مملكة الأنباط) عنجر عاصمة العرب الايطوريين
عقليه الروم وهزم الروم هذه عقليه رجعيه ، هل انت هزمت نفسك . الثقافه البزنطيه والهلنستيه كانت اندماج متكامل واصبحت البلد واحده موحده والحضاره كانت من ارقى الحضارات واهل بلاد الشام كانوا من مؤسسيها ، فكيف تحارب نفسك وتقف مع غازي من الصحراء. غريب العقل المنزوع الهويه الى الان

No, historical naratives are not the biggest producers of enemies because naratives are produced by people. People make enemies of eachother. Christians and muslims are always competing for eachother because feeling to be on the right side makes one feel good. Jesus cannot be god and not god in the same time, as muhammad a prophet or not a prophet. We fight because we want to feel that believe in the right things, and to feel that we believe in the right things make us feel good. We fight to feel good no matter how much suffering we inflict on the other.

@@salimzwein 1/ for an academic, his conclusion re the Sufi traveller is laughable. To begin with, the story is irrelevant in the political sense and anyway the Sufi wrote in Arabic so I suppose that he was an Arab (+ we don’t know when it was written…). The conflict was between the populations in Mount Lebanon and Mamelukes and/or Turks, both of which are not Arabs. Obviously the oppression is well documented throughout history (1441 Druze/Maronite delegation to Rome to seek help, all the communication between the Maronite clergy and its European counterpart etc…)
2/ It is the first time I hear from somebody that Mount Lebanon was not high enough to protect minorities. Then how come Turks had so much difficulty to deal with the Druze population over centuries? Or how come you only find minorities in Mount Lebanon? Again battles between the Ottomans and Fakhredin are documented enough to check that the terrain was a major issue for any invader.
