The French cleat panels were originally built for storage in my last apartment (video linked below). They were built with relocation in mind, so when we moved, this was the perfect home for the panels.
The frame is all 2x4 construction, fastened together with 3" deck screws because I had an excess on hand. It was fastened to the walls with 3" deck screws and to the floor with concrete anchors in a powder actuated gun.
The door was salvaged from my grandparents house when I built them a newer, beefier door (video linked below). They thought I had just thrown it away ;)

Now here's a man who knows how to make a video! You show what the project is at the start of the video so the viewer knows whether or not it's something he or she would like to do. It seems like 99 percent of the vids on UA-cam make you go to the end first. Kudos for common sense and a great build!

I was smiling/snickering at the sneaky thumbs up, I lost it at the fart. It's nearly midnight, wife is sleeping, I sitting here awake watching woodworking vids... now I'm trying to keep the tears out eyes and not wake the misses with my repeated bursts of muted laughter I can't seem to contain. Great work, I may well try doing something like this. I had not heard the term
French Cleat before, always known that system as split batten. I moved house this year and made some OSB stacking boxes for transporting my workshop stuff. I decided to put split battens on the base of the boxes so that I can hang them on the workshop wall as open cupboards.

Nice storage room. I also like the door, it's like a picture frame to what's inside.
The change in purpose to the left and above the door was just enough difference to make those items more interesting and fun.
the time lapse of the wood being stored in the loft gave me an idea that a rail ladder may also be a nice touch (flip up and hang it from celling with a pole hook?).
