Thanks a lot for this tutorial! I've never seen a video like this that shows exactly what you need to do to untangle your lines. The body cam is perfect, it's very easy to see what you are doing. I recently did a paragliding starters course and everytime I had to prepare my parapante, I spent ages trying to untangle my lines and I always ended having to call an instructor over to help me out. They didn't teach us this trick in the starters course but this will certainly help out a lot, thank you! 🙂
I have saved this video for when I have an insane line tangle. That tangle happened to me today and this trick worked perfect! It's like you're cheating at clearing lines!
Exactly what you tube is all about. I’m a total newbie only just brought a wing to ground handle. Spent half hour trying to untangle a crazy ass mess. Two mins later it’s done. Brilliant. Anymore tips for a newbie. Be quite funny for a total novice to show his instructor a trick like that haha. Keep them coming
Pitt Mx glad it helped mate, it’s surprising how many people don’t know it, check out my channel and subscribe for more pointers, tips tricks and hacks to come.
Never heard of this. Where where you a month ago when I spent 15 minutes untangling? 😂😂 Thanks for sharing!!! I have learned something new today, I can now go to bed. 😁
I've just bought my first wing (havnt done my courses yet) and took it out for the first time today to have a good look at it and pack it in a new concertina bag. Took it out of the stuff sack and the lines were like spaghetti! Then I remembered watching your video months ago!!! Literally 5 mins and sorted!!! Brilliant, cheers bud 🤘
On my first day of training, my instructor purposely gave me a tangled wing to see how I would deal with it. Lucky for me I had watched this video beforehand. thank you for this! I guess I should explain, I had taken a partial training course before and my instructor wanted to test me on what I actually knew. Anyhow, awesome video. Thanks so much!!
after a river rescue the wonderful boaters that saved me absolutely bees nested my lines- god bless them this worked in very short time- most importantly coax out the torsion/ friction knots, spread it out, and it should fall apart and display any twists
What sorcery is this? I don’t understand the mechanics of how or why this works, and I suppose for now I don’t need to. Thanks for making this video, mate! This saved me from a ton of future frustration and embarrassment on launch, which will ultimately help my flights be safer and more fun. Hope to see you out there! 🙏🏼🤘🏼
mikocot they tend to clear themselves along with the rest, I mentioned that you should always kite afterwards, this will clear friction nots etc, and visually check that all is ok.
Really wish I watched this video 2 hours ago before I started to lose me mind. I was ready to just throw my wing away and buy another one... Lol. Thanks!.. I'll try this next time I'm tangled
Did my first flight the other day, check it out on my channel, packed my wing quickly because I was buzzing. Spent an hour in the garden trying to untangle my lines. Did this today. Took about 30 seconds. Its pure witchcraft
RobNav PPG as long as nothing passes through the cascades and you don’t have a line over, it’ll work. The video is uncut from the start of the tangles to the end. Follow it if you ever get stuck pal.
Paul, thanks a bunch mate. Some menacing kids messed with my wing dragged it around at the field while I was putting my paramotor away. The lines were all tangled like a girl with a bad hair day. I used to sort it out one line at a time miticulously which would take me more than half hour. This magic trick really works and here’s my proof: ua-cam.com/video/xUpM5QaAkpM/v-deo.html
All the lines are connected to two points, the risers and the wing. in their natural state they may loop over or wrap around each over, but won’t tangle. If you loop the risers trough lines then you have a problem. By freeing one line you ease the problem as the rest that are tangled are fixed to the same points. Note; if the risers go through the cascades you have a problem that won’t be fixed with this method.

Glad it helped brother.
I was taught this trick during training and it blew my mind. I didn’t believe it would be that easy but it’s never failed to work yet.
AIRBOZ I’m sure I was stood next to you and Simon when he was going through it :)

What the heck?!!! You just saved me from detaching the lines from the risers (just about to give up untangling it).
You are my new hero. 🥰
This is amazing. My palms got sweaty watching you tangle it lol.

Any advice on how to untangle if lines from one of the risers get mixed with the other riser. I.E when the wing goes and loops into itself
Holy crap, thank you. Im a beginner and spent an hour trying to untangle my wires😂
Awesome Trick. I'm pretty careful when putting the kite away, but will keep this in mind.... Thanks.
Cool idea, one thing to add would be to first clear the brake handles from any attached lines :)
mikocot they tend to clear themselves along with the rest, I mentioned that you should always kite afterwards, this will clear friction nots etc, and visually check that all is ok.
Amazing little tip, this would normally take hours to sort!
Can wait to try this one!
Thank you my friend!

genius, thanks
Thanks. It works.
I have got to try this technique. First need to intentionally tangle my lines several times which is kind of sketchy.
