Absolutely loved this whole video. Appreciate you sharing your childhood memories with us and your reflections. Great stuff man.

  • @Trent_Talks

It was great to meet you at the expo Mort, I was the one who had my wife and daughter with me. And I was so excited to see in the video that you guys thought my JRPG book gift was cool!

Still have my childhood NES and a handful of games that I’ve had since the age of 5 or so.. the memories of playing those with my brother, my family, showing friends Castlevania 3 for the first time, getting Mario 3 as a gift from my aunt when I was in the hospital… If I was ever ready to let go of my games, I don’t think I would have the heart to let that stuff go. And if I did, there would certainly be a period of grieving afterward.

  • @azsoccerbeast2

Hi Mort! That was my wife(red hair) and I (Taco Bell shirt which is hard to see) at

  • @roguedr0id

Excellent video! I hope Dan and Elisa post their 1st panel on here. I would love to see it.

  • @DrinkGameswithJosh

Looked like a fun time dude! You got too hang with the cool kids or…maybe they did? 😂Sweet pickups too! They always say you can’t go home dude…going back to the areas you have childhood memories in usually speaks true to that statement. Love the retrospective at the end dude. 🤙🏻

  • @vinylreckoning

Ah yes the “I’m just going to look” scenario. We were there last week at a pop-up shop….the ending, as always was beautiful.

  • @TNDVideoGames

“Celebrate the past, but break out if it.” Truer words have never been spoken. I think this last quote will resonate with many people, especially those who are looking to either downsize their collection, or if they don’t enjoy the hobby so much anymore as they get older. I literally see this all the time at my store. People who clearly love, older games, but struggle with collecting. Great video good sir!

Mort, it was a pleasure to meet you on day two. If you don't remember who I was I was the guy answering all the music questions during JRPG life panel. Excellent video! Kind of glad I didn't go that third day because after that deal, you're lucky enough to be married still. I don't think I would of after that 😂😂😂

Nostalgia is a powerful thing. We arent anything without memories. I love to walk down memory lane but not at the loss of the present. Soak it up because in the future today will be a memory. When me and my wife get to America cant wait to go to all these cons. They look like such fun!!!

  • @cornbreadcody

I knew something reflective was coming when I saw that “one last thing” pop up and yet I still was not prepared for it. I’m coming up on one the year anniversary of my dad passing and I’ve got all sorts of things swirling through my head, from memories, to grief, to words spoken and unspoken, and everything in between. As always, exceptional video, Mort.

Oh man. So far this is my favorite of all your videos. Just when I think I am watching a con video you hit me with the last part. It makes me think a lot why I collect NES games. I think because growing up me and my brother play together a lot. Every time I play one or just even walk by them I remember those times. My collecting is emotional attachment . You are right it is ok to let it go. I don't get to see my brother often because of living a couple of hours away and he has some health issue and doesn't travel well, but I called him after watching this and set up some time to hang out. Thanks Mort for videos that make you think about just life.

  • @PartyupGames

Love the videos as always and your message at the end. It was pleasure meeting you and you being my first buyer at my booth!

  • @superdave3093

Dude… I love your channel and You Mort. Such genuineness and such great editing. Beautiful end too! You’re such a good dude. 👊❤☀️

  • @coopleofnerds

Awesome video. That con looked like a lot of fun. It is cool to drive by houses that meant something to you growing up. It brings back a ton of memories

  • @martin77766

Great video dude. You editing is on point as well as your vibe. You treat ppl with respect and ppl show it back. I love the ending of this video. Especially with the driving in silence at the very end. You have a great vision for your videos and execute it great as well. 🎉

  • @RetrocartCollector

Awesome video, love your edits. I really enjoyed your ending on this one. It gave me nostalgia for watching GI Joe or MOTU episodes as a kid and them having a message at the end of an episode. Great message.

  • @Tommyskylarr

“Just one more round…” we’ve all been there! I love the reflective moment at the end. Caught me off guard with the reality of the words.

  • @cflores883

Wow Mort, that ending was heavy🙏🏽and thats why I keep watching 😊

  • @StarfightersArcade

Steve: Glad y'all had a great time & you're more than welcome to come back whenever you're in town!
