Rellay good value for your money, especially for most regular rider (like me) that dont really need or use all the fancy rider aids that other expensive naked bikes have.
I got the GSX S1000 2021 plate Best bike ive ridden so far. - Comfort - Power - Maneuverability (practically telepathic in corners) - up and down quick shifter Much much more but tjose are the main points for me and of course the style. I think the bike looks awesome. Looks like a stealth fighter jet with the stacked head lights I got mine in grey 👌
Even though i admit being a huge Suzuki fanboy, having raced them for 7 seasons, and have owned 36 of them, I even do not think this is the best bike in it’s class. But, at $11,299 msrp, is the absolute best bang for your buck in any class…
Suzuki every day of the week! The Suzuki is a rider’s bike, raw and ready to go. Reliable easy to maintain at great value for money. The BMW is a show pony expensive hard to maintain and expensive to own. Furthermore the Suzuki handles much better and is an easy choice to buy 👍
Anyone saying the suzuki handles better, has not riden both. Period. Yes the suzuki is a better deal price/quality wise. But try one corner on the bmw and your are sold. (And broke)
BMW pricing is misleading, options are usually tacked on when viewed on the showroom floor. Realistically, it's going to be at least $17,000 or so. Suzuki will be as advertised, $11,299. Freight and setup will be added in each case.
I have the previous model gsxs 2019 Which is 10kg lighter then this one. With full arrow exhaust - another 6kg less. Rapid bike ECU and quick shifter.Nitron rear shock make big difference.Amazing machine will destroy BMW for much less money.Plus in my opinion more reliable K5 engine is legend. Always prefer feel of cable throttle don't need all those unnecessary electronics. ABS, traction control, slipper clutch is all i want.
Just bought my now 2nd GSX-S1000. First one was early in the model's introduction, maybe 2016 or 2017? Loved it. Sold it. Regretted selling it. Very happy to have the 2023 model year back in the family. Cost of European motorcycle ownership is extremely misleading. Upfront and maintenance costs always significantly higher than Japanese brands. For me, it's just not worth it any more.
The 2017 GSXS and S1000R were my final two on my list, and I went with the BMW because it handled better and had better electronics. I still have the BMW, 50,000km later and it has been great. Looking to replace it, and these two are my sensible options but the Tuono will probably get the nod. If I had to chose between the current GSXS and current S1000R, the issues will be the same - BMW handles better, has a little more power and better electronics, and while the electronics are less of an issue for me now they can be a life saver so I would go with the BMW. Some odd negatives - if they put a 6 axis imu of the GSXS that would probably change my view; the QS being an option on the BMW is unfortunate (it was standard in 2017, when QS was much less common); the Brembo brakes on the GSXS > Hayes on the BMW; the OEM tyres are pretty ordinary on the GSXS so I would swap them out at cost so price advantage diminished. But both are great bikes - just ugly as f…
@@Champion2Manager iMU does or can interface with traction control, anti wheelie, and (I think on the V4S variants) the operation of the QS and slipper clutch. It would be excellent if the GSXS were to have the IMU and related suits of the GSXR-R…

s1000r. theres more to it than just what's on the paper + worth the extra money as it will also maintain it's value for longer because of the fact that bmw is a luxury brand

@@Digidi4 why do you say the BMW is less reliable? In 50,000km I have had a very small number of issues with my s1000r is 50000km, just as I had a very small number of issues with an SV I owned for about 15000km.
@@brianglendenning1632 this is just generally speaking, on average the Japanese bikes are the most reliable BMW Aprilia and Ducati are way less. Your may be the exception, but generally BMWs have more problems than Suzukis
@@Digidi4 I was expecting less reliability from the BMW, but just not been my experience at all. Perhaps I have been fortunate, or my use of it has led to not realising problems others have (limited city/commuting rides, as I can get to country roads pretty quickly and ride great roads within 10 mins of my home).
The comparison you don't see is long-term cost of ownership. Reliability and repair expenses are a huge factor. Zuki is bullet proof.
Still suzuki ❤️
Wallet saying "Suzuki", brain saying "Suzuki". I own the original 2015 GSXS1000, and it's still a beast today as it was the first day I rode it
I still go for the Suzuki any time any day it's cheaper it has all the new
electronics and that fabulous K8 beast of an
engine 🔥🏁🔥💯
Well, not all of the electronics but certainly has the main ones.
k5 scrub
The induction noise when you are accelerating on the GSXS is amazing and the QS works like no other!
so ive been told.
SUZUKI! Of course!

You can't beat that GSX S1000 with that price, and the only bad thing is not having cornering ABS
Yeah you can, buy a z1000.

Suzuki💥🔥❤️
Japanese reliability, even though the engine is 17 years old, almost.
They didnt really put an old engine in there, just its specs and enhanced it a bit. But older engines are better anyway.

Maybe BMW, with the extra horsepower and plus the optional features!!

The K5 engine is so great.
