That's 😎! Love the thought process, Steve! Also... the " Photo 💣 " of the BNSF...& the vines as cover was nice! Thanks again for a fun video, Steve! All the best 👍 Peter 🚆 🚉 🚄 7:45pm EST.
I bought all of these when they came out 5-7 years ago, and they are great runners. I've tried lashing no more than two together at a time, so I think you have done very well. My stuff is all at my Florida double wide trailer where I snowbird, so I only get to play about five months a year. I just remembered, I bought a larger power supply before I left this year. Keep up the good work, and thank you.
SUPER JEALOUS !!!!! I have the KATY and RIO GRANDE. I am wanting to collect them all also. But have grown fawn to CXS. Being they are local to me. But after seeing your video, I now have an itch
Great video & layout. My favorite of the Union Pacific heritage SD70ACE locomotives are of the Southern Pacific in Daylight colors and the Denver & Rio Grande Western locomotives, those two are on my bucket list for my own N scale Pacific West Coast railroad.
Awesome video! I am a Wisconsin resident and I love all the trains but my favorite engine is the Chicago North and Western. In Green Bay I seen 5 CN&W engines pull over 100 cars and a lot of them were coal. Thanks again I might have to get the CN&W engine for my layout.
Very cool video, Kato locos are very dependable and the detail is one of the best. Thanks.... My wife would never let me hear the end of it if I bought 7 locos at one time.
Haha…I just need to make sure my hobby expenses are less than my hobby income (youtube earnings, etc) and I’m good. Otherwise it would be the same thing.
Oh man. That would be cool, but that will have to wait until I build a larger N scale layout and I’m able to get a sponsorship discount or something or other. Lol
Amazing!!! I love watching this and want to put a N scale of my own. What is the difference between DC & DCC? I am used to my old O scale and N scale is new.
With DC, you vary the track voltage to control train speed, but you don’t have control of individual locomotives. This is basically like conventional mode with a Lionel controller or similar. DCC applies a constant track voltage and then sends signals through the track to decoders in each of the locomotives to control speed and sounds and such. This allows you to control multiple locomotives on the same track, have advanced sounds and all of that. Basically it works like the MTH DCS system or Lionel legacy system (well I think, I’m just now learning about those). You can convert DC locomotives to DCC by adding decoders to them and DCC locomotives can run on a DC powered layout as well. DCC locomotives almost always cost more than DC locomotives, of course. But again, like these that I bought, they can be upgraded later to DCC capabilities.
That’s a great explanation. Thank you. Watching your videos makes me want to live closer to see you working on your projects. When it comes time when I start my layout, I know I want to do the freight car pictures to help me get used to the smaller setup.
Yeah, that made it easy. More tedious with DCC. I’ve done that before (not with 7, just 2) but the main thing was that the cost for all them in DCC would have been prohibitive.
Imagine seeing that consist in real life!!!

I originally just planned to buy the UP and Katy versions. Next thing I know all of them were in my cart and I had paid for them. Lol

Very very cool never know what to expect!

I have the SP, WP, and Katy versions of these SD70ACE units. They look and run fantastic...typical Kato quality!
Yep, they are great for sure.

I have two out of the six in my collection, and I've also seen three of the prototypes in a hook up 👍👍
Wow, that would be awesome to see three of the real ones together!
I have the mopac and cnw, really nice smooth runners.
Brilliant
That is a really cool consist. Please, let me know when you get all 20 Norfolk Southern Heritage Locomotives I would love to see that. Thanks!

I've only the Katy unit but it's a great runner.

Great video. Where do you get these beautiful locos?
These came from modeltrainstuff.com
I was curious how you were going to speed match 7 of them....but I see you're running DC only!
Yeah, that made it easy. More tedious with DCC. I’ve done that before (not with 7, just 2) but the main thing was that the cost for all them in DCC would have been prohibitive.
@@StevesTrains That was the other thing....at about $300+ per DCC w/sound, that would've been quite an expenditure!
Yeah, no kidding!
hey you forgot up 1943 up 1979 and up 4141
Yeah, I just bought all that was available at the time. There are a few more now.
Get help…… Nice lash up.
