Yes, might try this anytime soon. A video before you explained the Loomis methode and I do't know what it is, but it never worked for me. It now does a bit better as I kept practicing - and still I feel more comfortable with no help lines at all. I started sketching with pencils some weeks ago when I was in hospital. From day one I prefered to just draw from my imagination, so no reference pics either. I try to pick up details in real life, keeping these in mind and then trying out everything from imagination again. Maybe that is because I'm asperger, don't know.
If you can get the hang of this method, your sketching from imagination will go better. As you are learning do a mix of reference and no reference - that will help too. Thanks for watching.
I believe this is head, neck and shoulders above my skill level, but I enjoyed watching. Your watercolor skill aside, your drawing skills are impressive.
Thank you for your kind words. Drawing heads, hands and feet along with figures are a high-level skills to master, but don't let perfection stop you from trying and practicing. It is frustrating until it isn't. Give it a try.
G'day, mate. I'm really enjoying your channel so far. I would find it helpful, though, if you could have an inset of the reference as you're working on it. Thanks. I look forward to watching more.
