I am a windsurfer who started wing foiling last year.. Once I can tack (I can jibe, no problem, finally 😎😁), I will try one of those sinker board (I weigh 75 kg)
It is good to know that it is hard to knee start if the board is too short.. Thank you.. ❤

Yes it's a great board, I got a v1 4'8" 36lt and it accelerates to foiling super fast. But its flat tail rocker does ask it to be shimmed nose up to avoid longitudinal instability during takeoff of my sabfoils, which have a -1dg rake between plate and fuse. Shimming it nose up also improves reentry/touchdowns (since it has little nose rocker) and increase front-foot pressure for more control.

Yes you are right. Most brands seem to work better with a shim.

Interesting your comment on length. I had a custom 35L board made (-30 for my weight) which is 4'10, also longer than current trend. It just makes accelerating onto foil that much easier, which means I'll use it in lighter conditions with less anxiety about getting started... Swing weight on such a small board is pretty minimal and I prefer having a board I can use more often!

Thanks for your comment. I totally agree that swing weight is minimal on such a small board. Probably also depends on shape, moving tracks forward and so your stance will be more forward, might reduce this aswell.

@@WingsurferNL I just saw your video on the 999, and I've been using all the ARTs on this board. Even the 1099 was more fun than I was expecting at my light weight (65kg), and the quick acceleration of the board really works with these HA foils. I use the 325 tail with 1 degree shim on US fuse for all of them.

What is the low range winds you'll use this board?

Thanks! Really depend on your weight and skills. But I used this board from 10knots + with 85kg. Testing the v3, 66l right now!
