Americans looking at this like "all you Scottish people sound the same"
Haha
Yeah and I just assume all Americans are Canadian as a result. Watch how quick they are to correct you and get offended. 😂
Even I can hear the difference in an Irish and Scottish accent - signed an American
@@KittySofttpawsI can't even differentiate Canadian accent n American accent😂😂😂😂
No it's the amount of Americans who don't seem to realise the Republic and Northern Ireland and 2 different countries.
That lad who said Meath is my best friend now
Nothing makes a man want to chop off his own ears more than a thick Dublin accent
😅
What do you mean a dublin accent is class
@@BlackHeartDruid It’s one of them accents that makes me want to quickly disassociate with someone
@@g-stroyer3399 as a Dubliner if I ever heard anyone from Northern 'ireland' speak I would kms

As a brazilian living in Dublin for 3 years, it was tough to understand their accent at first but now I can chat with every possible accent 😅. I have a huge respect for this country and its people, accomplished things I've never dreamed about living in this place
Fala mano, estou me preparando para ir pra irlanda. Tenho inglês fluente, mas tenho dificuldade em entender o acento irlandês mas consigo me comunicar bem. Sabe me dizer quais trabalho consigo arrumar tendo inglês?

@jamieconway305 Honestly I don't care about that. I had a good professional position in Brazil but I worked all day and spent the rest of my hours commuting to and from work sleeping only 4 hours a night, I did this for years and never complained because this is a normal thing where I was raised. Surprised at all the love directed towards the Cork accent. Usually we just get abuse
We love Cork 💚
They might not have meant the city... ;) There's friends I have from west Cork whose accents are musical, almost as good as Donegal accents... I always say the accents in Ireland are like the terrain. flat accents in the midlands and hilly counties like Cork, Kerry and Donegal have some tones in them.
Doenst necessarily mean cork city
@@jimbobeire I need your breakdown on the Waterford accent
Yeah that's where the expression stick a cork in it comes from people hate the cork accent that much lol

Ireland is such a small country but has so many cultures, I love it. So compact but efficient.
Same with wales, England and scotland
One word I wouldn't describe Ireland as is "efficient" but I get your point. Walk five minutes any direction and you'll hear a different accent in the countryside. Lack of infrastructure meant less people were traveling and merging accents so it makes sense. Similar to a lesser degree in England.
Not for long

All your accents are lovely. Perhaps a comparison of the accents some day would be nice. Best wishes. 👍
As someone with a Belfast accent, I like Cork or Donegal accents (I always go to Donegal on holiday so I think that's where that's from)
Corks wild man. Got stuck with 2 in the royal talking away to them one of them was lad the aw was a bird. Couldn’t understand yer wee man at all, in fairness the header was rubbered. They sound like they’re having a cry every time the speak.
I used to live in Dublin their accent is so attractive and unique i like it.
Them lads that picked Donegal have a great taste
up donegal
Nah Tyrone's better.
Up Donegal and off Tyrone’s not better it’s awful no offence
agreed!!
Donegal is the best ❤
People with a Dublin accent say “that looks massive” instead of “that looks great/ that looks class” and once my sister was with her friend and she isn’t the skinniest she told me, and she was in Dublin and trying something on and someone told her “you look massive in that!” And she got offended and gave out but then my sister told her what it meant so she had to apologize LMAO… this is the story I heard anyway. We are from Kilkenny 🖤🧡 Kilkenny is in the final against limerick, I won’t who will win
A soft Mayo accent... Has a lovely lilt to it. Sound musical
It's weird. When you go down south, they love your Northern Irish accent, or anywhere abroad haha Especially the women :D

Cork, Down and Back arse of no where Galway/Mayo are my favourite.

The variation of irish accents is quite interesting .You find people in the north of ireland speak quite fast or slow and soft ( nice ) The Dublin lilt tends to be a mixture of posh , pleasent and the incomprehensible but overall and with the exception of a few the accents across the country are quite nice on the ears .
Belfast has the most intimidating and aggressive accent, me being from Belfast I would have to say the Cork accent
OI BRUV LAD YE WANNA GO HIT SOME BREAKFASTS? xd

Clearly haven’t been to Limerick ❤️
The tipp accents 😂
As someone from the North it baffles me hearing people from elsewhere say the love the accent lol
depends on the Nordie accent. Some of the City accents can be a bit tough on the ear. But take some of the more lilty Northern accents. I used to know this one woman from Banbridge.... she had the most wonderful accent on the planet.
@@peadarruane6582you are the first person on UA-cam ever to point out that we have different accents within the north - fair play.
like, id say Derry sounds very different to Down or Armagh.
@@philipbeattie4101 Between local slang, and the thickness of the accent, Derry has one hell of an accent lol.
One of the funniest incidents I ever had, was I was once at a politic protest down in Spain that had people from right across Europe. I was hanging out with these two Italians who had perfect english. Well on the campsite we were staying we bumped into a friend of mine at 3am, after much drink. He was from Derry, and he was in a passionate debate with this Glaswegian, and my Italian friend was thrilled, as he told me that he had never heard 'Gaelic' being spoken, I had to break it to him, that they were speaking English lol. He didn't believe me.
The Down accent is nice.
I have a bit of a cork accent when I get mad so hearing people say it’s the best made me smile
I'm irish love the accent

The most beautiful Irish accent is the Tyrone accent. And I love the Cork accent because they always sound as if they're on the verge of hysteria.❤😂
First of all, greetings from your neighbour, and the cacophony of the Song accent was priceless in this video. As a visually impaired person, and someone who has received pronunciation, I appreciate the various accents that my mother tongue has around the globe, especially in Ireland.
Depends where you go I'm a Crumlin lad and my accent went down a treat in America 😎
All good accents. I'm from donegal but I think derry accents are the best. They're so strong, so if you're a person who speaks a different language, you're going to need a translator 🤣🤣
Gwan Derry 😁
I was in Ireland. The easiest accent to understand for me was Derry accent.
Cork is a bit rough. My flatmate was from Donegal, and it is a cool accent, but nothing beats Dublin accent. Especially when they say whaaaaa?
Cork all the way it’s so homey and sweet (I might be biased cause I’m from there)
The Kerry accent is musical. It goes up and down like their mountains ⛰️ 🎶
Me from Belfast: :’)
I’m American but all of my Irish relatives live in Cork.
Def up north. Donegal prob best of them all.
Everyone in donegal speaks at lightning speed lol
Yeah it’s like they are trying to compensate for the way time seems to stand still in Donegal.

The neutral Cork accent is lovely or the older Cork accent you'd hear on 70-80 year olds. The Cork accent that everyone can understand, not so much more modern thick north/south city accents. They're harder to understand and are more nasally.
