Well, that was a very nice surprise! I've given a few Warhammer-loving musicians a try over the years, and … well, I wouldn't judge their musical talents even if I did know anything about the art of music-making (and I don't), but “grimdark music” tends to sounds like something a Noise Marine would make, and that's not the sort of genre I go for. These atmospheric instrumentals, however, are precisely my cup of tea! Thank you very much for sharing them with the world.

Oh man, giving this a listen in the background while working on a grimdark fantasy dnd campaign gives me a ton of inspiration.
It has been a year since this masterpiece has been released. Have to say this soundtrack is my go-to soundtrack to put on during 40k games. Will be on the lookout for volume 2 if it ever comes out.

All right , 40 something (cough,cough), metal head, really enjoyed the sound track the vibes are sooo good!! The sign of great tunes if it fire's the imagination!! The opening track feels like your orbiting something huge an ominous lol (no drugs involved pure imagination).great stuff CD in post ( what no tapes?) 😁 ATB
That's okay mate, it was mostly made by 30-something metal heads who were under strict instructions to use no guitars, haha

2 minutes in and suddenly I'm in the strategium of a voidship deep in uncharted space. Extremely atmospheric and ominous, I love it.

nothing makes a game creepier than playing in the dark with one flashlight on your models as the "sight range" while chaos lurk in the shadows on the board and this music plays!
There's no better music to listen to while reading through the lore of a new codex.

This music is exceptional. It reminds me of Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori's work on the Halo soundtracks. Obviously with the right notes of "grim" and "dark" added. Perfect for me to paint to!

When it comes to the Cyberpunk genre and especially Grimdark Cyberpunk, I am VERY picky. I like my music to be a certain, very specific style. Only then can I enter the "cyberpunk state", as I call it...
The Cyberpunk State is a feeling I cannot explain, a state of mind I cannot express... It derives from audio-visual stimuli and is enforced by a sense of desolation, abandonment of hope and an urge to succumb to its drift... The vastness of space as I look up, and the uneasiness of the human condition as I look in front of me...
I imagine myself looking through a reinforced window in the 31st floor of a booming metropolis, and as I look down, the light paves the way to witnessing the "fall" of humankind... Crimes, anxiety, depression... Black circles under neon light...
Even though this feeling should make me sad, it doesn't... It's a cozy, warm feeling. Maybe artificial... Maybe...

All i can visualize is a bleak empty hallway in a massive imperium ship or so low beneath a hive city that i can barely hear thousands of soilders die to tyranids on the surface

Those are really epic, the rest are good too.
Most of the songs have some kinda.. 80's Dystopian synth movie theme, like Terminator / Bladerunner or such, & late 80s - 90's maybe early 2000's anime vibe to them, thinking of Ghost in the shell / Akira among other.
Listen to this when I paint and played some warcry later. CHOICE STUFF.

I'm currently writing stat-lines for my D&D minis, which I plan to paint and use to play the most ramshackle version of Warhammer anyone has ever seen. This will be the soundtrack to the grim forge that will be my keyboard lol
I usually queue up music for my gaming groups. I typically look for 'battle' type music and make playlists. Does this or will it exist on Itunes at some point? Very cool atmospheric music.
