In this clip, Drakeo the Ruler discussed how he's adjusting to being out of prison, especially considering the psychological trauma he experienced being forced to live in a 5x7 cell. He described how isolated the module is where he was housed and what affect that had on him.
Drakeo then talked about being used by the DA as a "political hockey puck." He detailed how interconnected the DA was with the judge and the previous prosecutor on his case. Drakeo said that after he discovered these linkages, many people thought he was paranoid but he rightfully assessed the connections between judges and district attorneys. He and Vlad also pointed out how plea deals keep the criminal justice system going.
Finally, Drakeo ended the clip by talking about taking responsibility for winding up in prison and how he's planning to make better decisions moving forward. He spoke about the reaction many of his colleagues in rap had about his release and having to adjust to dealing with men he considers "hoes." Drakeo also teased news about a major deal coming down the pike.
The way vlad described him being in prison was disrespectful. He really don’t understand how to talk to people sometimes.

Drakeo seems like he recovered from lockdown a little bit more from the No Jumper interview to this one. In the No Jumper one I felt bad for him he seemed so beat down. He’s articulating the experience so illustratively.
Yeah he definitely seems more full of life here mainly because Adam doesn’t know how to get straight to the point with the right questions, instead Adam tries too hard to fit in and be cool with the person he’s interviewing

If every inmate that’s locked up rn asked for a speedy trial a lot of the cases would get dismissed because they don’t enough funds or resources to try everybody all at once. In California courts defendants have a right to a trial within 100 days to a year. It would get so hectic that they would have no choice but to release most of the inmates based on the fact that they would not have enough time to process most of the cases. Look up the 6th Ammendment

People seem to forget that judges and lawyers all know each other. If we didn't sit in class together, we belong to the same bar associations, or they are friends of a friend. The only way to get a lawyer unknown to the judge or opposing counsel is to find 1 from out of State.
