Ah, I remember the first time I played 4 Empires. I stole Guan Yu from Liu Bei's forces, and he literally backed me into a corner on the map and would attack my territory every chance he got.
This, "The Mountain Knows" and "She Knows The Brave" are the 3 most epic songs in all of Dynsaty Warriors soundtracks I can do without most of the others with all that heavy rock music, I love rock music and I get it that its an "anime" thing, but they just don't fit the setting enough for me. Some of them are good though like the Nanman themes. During gameplay the crazy rock music doesn't bother me though..its dramatic..but when I'm playing Empires, making strategies and getting into the storylines, inventing knew ones by my actions, I don't want to hear that chaotic noise.
+Tmi Icon What do you mean by ''anime'' thing bro? In no way possible the OSTs of DW4 can be comparable with any kind of anime, what are you talking about?
IF you watch anime you know what I mean..but I'll help you out.The corny rock music that tends to play during action sequences in just about any anime, when I play these DW games the same kind of music is happening whenever a dramatic fight ensues and pretty much everywhere else in the games. My point is I'd rather hear traditional Chinese or classical style music throughout the entire game since it would be more evocative of the setting, you don't get that?
Hah, Koei agrees with you considering the Empires games now. But I love the guitar riff while playing my turns in DW4:E, inspires me to be ruthless and aggressive. If there were actual schemes, dilemmas between character, personal conflicts, interpersonal relationships ala actual Romance of the Three Kingdoms, hell yeah, this would be immensely appropriate and thematic. But unlike you, I can't think that stuff up, but rather deal with what's in front of me: Enemies to be slain!
V Stanev I agree though, The riffs do bring an intense frenzied element to the mood even in strategy mode especially when during desperate make or break moments...they're not an entirely unenjoyable part of the games.

Great track to listen to when browsing the encyclopedia
... I get quite a "Legend of Ashitaka" vibe from this track.
Anyone else went to the gallery to pause the animations and spin the characters while they were mid flip??

I agree to disagree. Never saw anything like these OST playing in these cheesy animes nowadays.
