- Autumn Leaves, es el nombre en inglés de la canción compuesta en Francia en el año 1945, "Les feuilles mortes" (literalmente "Las hojas muertas"), con música de Joseph Kosma y letra del poeta Jacques Prévert. Esta es mi versión del tema.

My grandpa passed away in the fall last year, he would sing this song to himself and us all the time. I can’t help but hear his voice singing in my head when I hear the melody. What a wonderful piano cover.

Mine also, just a little earlier by a year or two...that's if my memory serves me well....I too learned to play it too....but somehow I've lost the music....perhaps it's time to search and buy another copy....
this is wonderful, my father was a pub pianist in the 1960's. He played without music and this was always my favourite piece that he played. brings back some wonderful memories for me, thank you

The thing is that this version is more "pop" because of arpeggios and lack of rythm variety, so is more pleasent to the ear but is not very jazzy. Jazz is cool and much more interesting but it is a little bit difficult to enjoy if you listen for the first time.

Oh, I don't know how to describe this. I'd love to see him in person, the way the left hand moves, it's absolutely entrancing. He really captured the heartbrokennss of the piece, and I absolutely loved it. Autumn Leaves is such a bittersweet piece, and all in all it was played wonderfully. Simply fantastic.
This song will never be forgotten in the hearts of young and old music lovers. It warms my heart and soul. I can listen to this song all day long without getting tired of it.

My dad died Oct 23, 2013 and he really loved this song. I used to sing it and he loved it. It makes me cry to hear it. I think of how much he loved the autumn each year.
