Lelita. You’re amazing along with your recipes. Whenever or if ever you publish your cookbook, I’m first in line to buy it. Have a fantastic and blessed day.
Me podía comer cien jaja 😜Recuerdo esta fritura en los 70’s en Cuba. Mi madre las encantaba. Gracias tantos años sin no veo una. Voy a tratar de hacerlas muy pronto. Gracias por recordarmelas.
I remember as a child helping my grandma clean the beans and peeling the skin. I didnt realize they were black eyed peas. I have never tried making them. Thanks for your video I will now.
I love because you do it in Spanish and English I be so many years in United States that I've been forgiven my Spanish thank you that's the one my grandmother did
Yes my friend I remember these. My abuelo used to make them. I haven’t had these since I moved from Florida. Thank you for your recipe. It looks really delicious. The one I ate had just bean, egg , salt & pepper. It was good but yours looks more tasty. I’d love to try your recipe. Thanks again.
I love Bollitos de Caritas & the dipping sauce looks yummy.

Thank you so much for that beautiful compliment my dear friend. Enjoy your day. God bless!
I’m glad that you blended the vegetables again. So it’s nothing but flavor and a creamy texture.
Gracias de nuevo Lelita. Aprendí muchas recetas de usted. Nunca aprendí como hacer cocinar recetas Cubanas de mi madre. Tu eres la mejor mi profesora.

Thanks for sharing some personal stories. It's lovely to learn I'm not the only one struggling finding the right word in the other language
You’re definitely not alone. 😂 I try so hard not to use Spanglish because I want to teach my children the correct way.
I remember this as a kid. My aunt made this. They were so delicious!
Thanks for a great recipe! My friend from The Gambia/ Senegal calls them AKARA
You’re welcome. Yes they’re called Akara in Africa. Thanks for watching.

@@beatrizvelazquez5425 Gracias corazón. Bendiciones!
Thanks!
Aquí en los 80 se encontraba cajitas con los frijoles hecho ya una harina fina seca y las hacía muy frecuente , pero ya ese producto no se ve
En serio? Muchas cosas han cambiado
Hi they look so yummy! Do you happen to know why we remove the bean skins?
Thank you. 😊 Removing the skin makes the batter smoother & helps the body digest the beans better.

Thank you 😊
It's called Akara in Nigeria (it's a Yoruba dish)
My godfather would make these on a very odd occasion.
How he did it was just very basic. I believe he would just fry Black-eyed peas in a batter. I don’t remember it tasting with any seasoning.
I like to add a little flavor to them because my family loves them more better that way.
