Just bought deskjet 2800e, and trust me, it's a pain to set it up. Please stay away from HP 😕😕 It asks to press the i button on the printer then moves in circles. Why cannot they make things simple?? Very annoyed

100% Correct. I bought it because it was cheap and I wanted something running off an inverter in the back of my work vehicle. Just a coinstant pain in the butt. You know @hpsupport you don't need to make your own process up. Canon does it better, Epson is fantastic. Buy one of their cheap printers and see how they do it, you'll be amazed. No on line accounts required too.
I don't know what you guys are talking about in the comments! I bought a Deskjet 4230e, set it up exactly like the tutorial said and the printing and copy feature work like magic! They work flawlessly! I actually recommend HP!❤
Didn't work. I had the HP Smart app installed. The app couldn't find my printer. Been starting everything from square one. Been wasting ink and paper to print instructions and such yet didn't get my phone connect to it. I am very disappointed with this. I prefer having more manual buttons on the printer than just heavily relying on tablets or smartphones.

OK, what do you do if the Wi-Fi light is a solid blue but the app is still saying it’s not connected to a network. I’ve restarted the whole process twice and still can’t print.

I’m having problems setting up the hp smart deskjet 2800e as well. I’m connected to the internet but it will not print. The orange light keeps blinking beneath the display window showing E0. We’ve checked that our paper is in properly etc. all is working…except it won’t print!

These intruction do not work when changing wifi networks, it seems HP did not consider that people move houses.

Absolutely ass backwards. Put the cartridges in FIRST, before setup.
The WORST printer in the world. Disconnecting very time and restart needed before every use.
