Did you have to use brass brush to reset the nap on Laney's?
No that isn't a real suede on the toe box. Once they were dry the material was fine.

Do you have a pair of our shoe trees? They are very easy and pretty self explanatory. You simply adjust them to the size of the sneaker then insert them.

Honestly you're going to have to custom mix the color. Vick recommends mixing cream and a silver metallic to start.

To get rid of yellowing you can buy Angelus Sole Bright, God of Soles Reviver, or even Salon Care 40 Volume Creme. This stuff gets rid of oxidation which removes yellowing. Cleaning it can't lighten up the yellowing but won't get rid of it.
