Great advice! I’ve been starting the same strategy. I think I wanna work on like 3 master sets a month and pace myself. But not with hits but master set of all the bulk cards back to the early days (:
Nice vid man. I agree if you dont think that theres potential for 10 you prob shouldn't grade it unless theres sentimental value, but I think there needs to be more conversation about psa 9 potential value. Theres a lot of variables but its not unheard of for 9s to be worth it.
Just started getting back into the hobby with my kids. I like the old school cards but some of the new stuff is pretty cool too. My son loves the full arts and chase cards. Yet to learn his lesson on booster packs. As much as i warn him its a fools game. My daughter selected snorlax and eevee as her lane. Wants to get all cards for that pokemon which is pretty cool.
I completed Base, Fossil and jungle and thats why i moved onto the Wotc holos. I could go out and just buy them all on ebay but i am having fun taking my time
congrats personally I'm not buying any top end cards from scarlet and violet my primary focus is on multiple copies of swsh alts, swsh booster boxes, and getting 1x-2x each pokemoncenter etb+2x minimum every new set booster box. rn I personally own every pokemoncenter etb ever released missing a few sealed items for personal collection in swsh 3 etbs, 2 booster boxes, and only 4 sets worth of sleeved pack arts, all of which are the earlier sets. I try to personally avoid grading altogether but if that works for you by all means go for it. I would seriously recommend you buy a tote with a lock if you opened up 20 151 upcs I hope you paid the tik tok price on those upcs if you ripped
Dang that’s an impressive sealed collection, good for you. Yeah the UPC’s were ripped unfortunately but we just loved 151 so much…recycled the duplicates back into the hobby though to fund more opening (still a big loss) but fun nonetheless. Keep going with your collection…do a video on it sometime?!?!?
My next submission will be PSA since I’m sending in chase cards that I really want to keep their value, but I’ve used CGC so far. More so to grade cards I want to keep since it’s cheaper and quicker turnaround, and I do like the black labels. But yes that’s why I mention 9.5’s, good call

Good comment, I agree. 9’s are still great quality, and can certainly be worth it for some cards

@NonedarkTCG very true. Sadly here in Scotland we don't have any cards shops so moat pick ups are from ebay but I do pick up the odd few locally
