My brother and I were talking in the phone the other night about growing mushrooms and here you are with a video on - growing mushrooms. I did try a kit when they first came out about 15 years ago. I love mushrooms so think I'll have to try a kit again.

I bought a kit a couple of years ago and tried it and didn't have the success you had, but for my birthday this year I got two more kits and will give it another run!
Supposedly you can flip the kit around and get another batch from the other side! I've also seen videos where people have taken big buckets and drilled holes and made their own substrate and used the kits to "seed" the buckets and had great results.
The kits can be expensive. I haven't tried this yet, but I know someone that says it's not hard to do it yourself for next to nothing. The spawn is grown by cutting up a few mushrooms and mixing it in a baggie with previously boiled rice (cold). In a week it will be ready to be used. You also need a small ice cream sized tub with holes and sterilized straw. There are videos on how to do it.

I'm so excited to see you review this, I have been thinking about growing mushrooms at home myself and one of these kits specifically!
A few years ago I picked up a few of those kits although I didn't get a very good amount but it was really fun and I do plan on trying them again.
