Learned from psychology, when you’re studying as soon as you feel yourself letting go, get up and take a break for 5 mins. In those 5 mins do something rewarding for studying the amount of time you did, like something fun, go outside, play catch, play a sport, etc. Come back to your study spot and try again. Over time this will increase your attention span and I promise you will forget it less. Turns out there is no limit... you just have to train your brain.

I like your enthusiasm for learning the Spanish language. Rote memorization was one of the methods that teachers used to teach me Mandarin many years ago. Although difficult, I can testify that it works and is a good way to START learning the language. 辛苦啊！加油加油加油。

Really love how you are disciplining yourself to learn Spanish. The language by itself is very complex and the grammar might be hard to come by but seems like you’re getting it with ease. Xiaoma, did your whole family live in China for that year? I have noticed your brothers, how many do you have, speak Chinese as well. I stumbled across your channel and I can’t what enough of it. I have been binge watching every day for about 10-11 hours. Been home so it has been a great way to spend my time. I wish I had learned a language besides English, can understand Spanish about every second or third word but can’t speak it. My roommate of about 13 years was Mexican, so I would listen to him and his family talking all the time. I learned the curse words first of course. It’s just wonderful to see the looks on most people’s face when the hear you can speak Chinese so well. It like turns on the inner personality and they can open up to you and when you speak the almost lost language Funguiness or what ever the the spelling is. The older people get an instant big smile! That is great! I am 63 and am looking into a Chinese language course that I can do at home. Which one do you recommend? I watched one that you talked about them, but I can’t find it again. HELP!

Felicitaciones! Hace unos años atrás le enseñe español a una mujer de habla inglesa y le costó mucho aprender a conjugar los verbos, es uno de los temas más complicados de aprender al momento de estudiar español, pero como siempre con esfuerzo y constancia se puede. No bajes los brazos y sigue asi, por como vas ahora, yo creo que en un par de meses ya podrías tener una conversación más o menos fluida, y solo te quedaría aprender la pronunciación de las letras y palabras. Un pequeño tip para tener en cuenta en el min 10:35, en el español la letra "H" es la única letra del alfabeto que es "muda", la única que no posee sonido alguno. Únicamente se pronuncia cuando va precedida de la "C", formando de ese modo el sonido "CH". Felicidades de nuevo, me encantan tus videos, saludos desde Argentina!
this would only really work with Spanish and German or French if you're an English speaker. Doing this with languages with different grammar patterns would make learning the vocab basically uselss

I am very impressed with you. My grandfather spoke eight languages fluently, my father four. I am functional in three. While you obviously have "sekel" I think even more importantly, you have an ear. Having grown up in border cities I have found that pronunciation is even more important than vocabulary or conjugation. I love being able to "pass." You can obviously hear. I think what you are doing is extremely ambitious and crazy, but you are doing really well! Just a few tips: the double "ll" makes a y-sound; the accented letters "é, í, à," etc.. Are to be emphasized so for example "hablé" would have an extended e/a sound; and probably the biggest mistake for non-native speakers, the letter "h" is silent most of the time. Keep going Xiaoman! I'm currently attempting Mandonese, so hopefully I can get somewhere
Was the title, description and subtitles all in Spanish? I don't believe that all people can learn a language this fast. . Many languages come from Latin, seems like Latin would be a good one to learn
@@recoveringsoul755 Latín is extremely Hard to learn. Almost impossible to speak it fluently. Requieres a lot of sintaxis analysis to translate 1 sentence. Also a dead languaje so lot of Word that do not exist there :(

Pro tip: If you see this little thing " ´ " above a vowel it means that the syllable it's in is stressed. For instance, if you see "Hablé", you should pronounce that "ha-BLE", or if you see "Sábado", you should pronounce that "SA-ba-do". If there's none you just stress the penultimate syllable, like in "Ventana", which is pronounced "ven-TA-na". Keep learning man, you've got some real talent!
The tilde is really useful in order to know if words are oxytone, paroxytone or proparoxytone. No guessing. it's a pain when words don't have it because you have to find out which is the stress syllable.
@@skiggy007 man unless you want to speak like a native you gotta learn that. as long as you have the pronunciation of the letters as the ABC right we can understand just fine. i know many people native speakers that cant follow that rule but can be understood perfecly. im not saying its un necesary but im saying is not essential

Hace unos años atrás le enseñe español a una mujer de habla inglesa y le costó mucho aprender a conjugar los verbos, es uno de los temas más complicados de aprender al momento de estudiar español, pero como siempre con esfuerzo y constancia se puede. No bajes los brazos y sigue asi, por como vas ahora, yo creo que en un par de meses ya podrías tener una conversación más o menos fluida, y solo te quedaría aprender la pronunciación de las letras y palabras.
Un pequeño tip para tener en cuenta en el min 10:35, en el español la letra "H" es la única letra del alfabeto que es "muda", la única que no posee sonido alguno. Únicamente se pronuncia cuando va precedida de la "C", formando de ese modo el sonido "CH".

I am very impressed with you. My grandfather spoke eight languages fluently, my father four. I am functional in three. While you obviously have "sekel" I think even more importantly, you have an ear. Having grown up in border cities I have found that pronunciation is even more important than vocabulary or conjugation. I love being able to "pass." You can obviously hear. Speaking as an Italian speaker with approximate Spanish, that was a great video. Vocab is always that key. Forget grammar: don't get bogged down in the subjunctive. Words words & more words.

I think what you are doing is extremely ambitious and crazy, but you are doing really well! Just a few tips: the double "ll" makes a y-sound; the accented letters "é, í, à," etc.. Are to be emphasized so for example "hablé" would have an extended e/a sound; and probably the biggest mistake for non-native speakers, the letter "h" is silent most of the time. Keep going Xiaoman! I'm currently attempting Mandonese, so hopefully I can get somewhere

No tienes experiencia hablando español pero vas aprendiendo muy rápido y se entiende muy bien.
Pro tip: If you see this little thing " ´ " above a vowel it means that the syllable it's in is stressed. For instance, if you see "Hablé", you should pronounce that "ha-BLE", or if you see "Sábado", you should pronounce that "SA-ba-do". If there's none you just stress the penultimate syllable, like in "Ventana", which is pronounced "ven-TA-na". Keep learning man, you've got some real talent!

The tilde is really useful in order to know if words are oxytone, paroxytone or proparoxytone. No guessing. it's a pain when words don't have it because you have to find out which is the stress syllable.

@@skiggy007 man unless you want to speak like a native you gotta learn that. as long as you have the pronunciation of the letters as the ABC right we can understand just fine. i know many people native speakers that cant follow that rule but can be understood perfecly.

Dude, you achieved that in one week, you'll be able to talk like a native in 6 months for sure... I'd add to your study method singing (try Caifanes and Cafe tacuba and sing along with lyrics) and watching some soap operas or movies in spanish (add spanish subtitles).
