I've recently ordered about half of the stuff they said wasn't available in the U.S. I live in Michigan... And thanks folks, I really enjoy your channels!
Soft tacos are wrapped with soft tortillas and hard tacos are wrapped with fried tortillas. Tortillas can be made of corn or flour. Outside of Mexico, tortillas tend to be made of flour. The best tortillas are of corn. I lived in Mexico and a real taco is the best anytime of day.
We used to have Churros, but they were removed quite a while ago. There was also a fantastic Caramel Apple Empanada as well as a waffle cone taco filled with ice cream called the Choco Taco. I'm still upset they removed them all. Cinnabon Delights don't do it for me tbh.
I had Taco Bell for the 1st time in years last week, I can wait now many more years before I have it again. Mexican receipts do use chocolate in them, It is not sweet, just a coca flavor very mild, Ususally called Mole.
I love crunchwrap supremes, and also cheese quesadillas made with the green sauce. You have to ask for them to be made with green sauce and either don't order more than two or ask for them to be cooked a bit longer or the cheese won't be completely melted.
I was born in the 1960s and US portions used to be much smaller. I remember as a kid going to McDonald's with my parents and the regular cheeseburger, hamburger or Filet o' Fish was all they had, plus the only fries would be considered "small" today. The soda would be considered today's small as well. Taco Bell in the 70s (first time I had it) had just the original crunchy taco, bean burrito and a few other items. Its really concerning what's happened in this country with portion sizes and processed foods during my lifetime. We've been conditioned it seems to eat more.
@@kikibigbangfan3540 Of course but from the obesity rate in this country that self-restraint isn't working. I saw a woman in Panda Express a few days ago. She was normal weight and her three children were all overweight or obese. This isn't uncommon. For whatever reason Americans have been conditioned to eat more and to and more unhealthy foods. The problem is worse for every generation.
@@jeffmorse645 It doesn't help that the healthier options can be unappealing solely due to how they're typically more pricey. iirc the Cantina Power Bowl is one of the most expensive items on the menu while you can get like 3 burritos from the Value Menu for the same price.
A quesadilla isn't baked -- it's lightly browned on a flat top, then flipped to lightly brown the other side. This melts the cheese within so, if there are any other ingredients, they don't fall out.
Cocoa is used in lots of recipes. It doesn't taste like a chocolate bar until you add sugar. Also those flatbreads ARE tortillas, they're just made with flour while authentic ones are typically made with corn. The crunchy shells are just corn tortillas that have been fried, although the ones at TB are likely pressed and shaped ahead of time instead of fried for the sake of consistency.
@@hectorfernandez5542 I know, I was just drawing a comparison between tortillas and sandwich wraps, which aren't typically made of corn. Guess it could've been worded better.
Corn or flower are both authentic, it can depend on the part of Mexico that they’re more popular in. I live in Northern California and growing up most of the Mexican restaurants served Estilo Jalisco or food from the region of Jalisco Mexico. My absolute favorite as you can feel your arteries clogging Fromm the fat. Absolutely delicious. Most of the dishes are baked in the oven, and as far as I’m concerned their enchiladas are bar none the best from Mexico.
Taco Bell is one of those fast food places you go to because you are CRAVING it. Everyone knows the quality is not really there, but something about it scratches a certain itch.
In my college days Taco Bell was a favorite when the bars closed. We got one in my hometown years ago, think I've eaten there less than five times. Not that I don't like the food, we just have a Hispanic population here, and a few restaurants and food trucks that serve authentic food. So much better!! And hey, when you age you sometimes have had a job where you're up at 3am to be at work by 5am.😅
This is Americanized Mexican food authentic Mexican food is everywhere here in California as well Both are yummy 😸 Do they have the Mexican Pizza(my fav) in the UK?
A quesadilla isn’t round lol. They take a flour enchilada, put the ingredients on one half then fold it over so it looks like a half circle. Then grill it. After that its cut like a pizza but you get 5 slices.
Daz & Gaynor lived in the U.S. for 12 years and she never learned the difference between a corn and flour tortilla, lol. I wonder if she knows flour tortillas can be fried to crisp up to make all kinds of yummy things. Also, I don't think you can find french fries/chips on a Taco Bell menu in the U.S. unless they are selling the nacho fries that come and go. I have never seen them served as a side to tacos or any other menu item.
Birria is so delicious! Carne asada, carnitas, adobo, machaca, barbacoa, fish, and the list goes on. It's all so good. Why would I want a ground beef taco? Thankfully I live in a place where I never have to eat at a Taco Bell. lol. We probably have at least fifty birria joints within 15 minutes of my house. Five, in my fairly small town, lucky us. And when making homemade tacos, enchiladas, etc. there won't be any ground beef in it.
We have one Taco Bell cantina on the Vegas strip that serves beer, wine and specialty cocktails. There is always a line since it is a little more upscale and there are only a few in the U.S.
Have like 3 Taco Bells by me. 1s good. Other not so much. Wish I liked the cheaper stuff cause it's like $15 each time lol. Chicken Quesadilla, Cheesy Gordita Crunch, Nacho Cheese Doritos taco, mild sauce. Never fails lol
8:15 ill go vegan before i give up my sugary drinks. Coke, sweet tea, Kool aid, chocolate milk. All the best drinks have LOADS of sugar. Ohh well, i like them too much
The best Tacos I ever had was from a food truck in my little town. The best fajitas is from a Mexican restaurant in town. The best taco bowl was in this Mexican place at the food court of my college. Taco Bell is garbage. It was decent on a budget years ago. Times change though.
I'm not a soda drinker, it just has always tasted like sugar to me and I usually opt for no drink at fast food places. If I go to Taco Bell I ALWAYS get the Mt. Dew Baja Blast, since seeing this I will never again😅 I don't find it as sweet as a Coke weirdly enough, just really refreshing. Also with the Kool Aid, you probably put in the suggested amount of sugar. I would say 98% of Americans double that amount, especially if the kids are making it😆
No, as a Mexican. Taco Bell is not Mexican food. Its American Mexican food. More like some kind of half ass fast food meant to be like "Mexican" food. And the one thing that pisses off is when people call a tortilla a "wrap".. If its in a tortilla it is either a Taco, or a Burrito. It is not a "wrap". Quesadilla here as far as I know most of the time is a tortilla folded in half. The most common one just has cheese- u usually find it on kids meals
My favorites were the 7 layer burrito and double decker taco. Back in the early 70s, they used to have the tostado, taco burger, and enchilada.
I am all about the Chalupas at Taco Bell! Nacho Cheese Beef Chalupas are incredible!

That Baja Blast Freeze is an experience. I go just for that and don’t let it be a Taco Bell Cantina!!! 😂😂

I can't go back to regular Mtn. Dew after having Baja Blast. Unfortunately, store-bought Baja Blast isn't as good as the Taco Bell drink fountains lol
It blows my mind that you-all never heard of a quesadilla.....so common in the US
If you guys have a Starbucks in the UK Sophie should stop by and get a Stawberry lemonade with dragonfruit bits, I think she'd like it.
Some people in America call Taco Bell "Toxic Hell".. Laugh out loud!
There is Taco Bell in Nottingham you can come down Sophie for a date 😂

Cocoa powder is often used in making chili...
The Baja Blast is controversial. I ordered it one time to try it and the guy who handed it to me said, "Good luck."
The crunchy tacos are fine until you take the first bite, and they break into pieces. Then you have a taco salad.
