I love that I fostered my daughter and then adopted her gladly without any reservations. My previous husband and I were blessed and he passed away in 2001. Now my daughter and I have each other to lean on and love. The best part of our story is she and I even look so much alike, it’s uncanny!! I am so blessed to have her in my heart and life. She is truly my daughter and bestie now. And I have 6 grands by her and her sweet hubby. I get to love them all. I’m so glad you and your hubby got to adopt those two brothers and see how they changed your lives and better yet…your choice and the biological mother’s choice was done out of pure love. As was ours and my daughter’s biological mother. I will always be grateful and loving to her. Thank you for sharing your story Jen.
Absolutely love this!! I was adopted when I was just a baby, also my family adopted my biological brother as well when he was born!!! I have a wonderful family, even though my little brother is no longer with us, he will always be in our hearts!! My parents were also foster parents, when I was a teenager. You & your family are beautiful people inside and out!!! I was born and raised in the same town in Virginia! God Bless and Congratulations!!! ❤ No place like home!!
This is so touching. It brought back memories of all the things that had to fall into place for us to adopt our son. We had hundreds of people, that we didn’t even know, who prayed for us, and so much support from family and friends. Our son is 28 years old now, and he has an adopted son of his own. The matriarch of the agency we adopted him through told us that adoption is a miracle. We concur.
Jen is SUCH a good entertainer and an even BETTER person. I watched her on Days of Our Lives and at first she played such an unlikable character. I thought she had to be like that in real life, LOL. But her character evolved and her true personality shown through as a wonderful person. And now to see what a lovely woman, wife, mother she is. Good things couldn't happen to a nicer person!
I also was safe haven for several and I also got the joy of helping many kiddos in foster care for 13 years and I adopted my son 8 years ago. It’s a true blessing. God bless you both as your family continues to grow in love.
