- Let’s check out some updates to the scenery at the Keystone Arches and Westfield, some new engines like an SD50, SD40-2R, C36-7, and some new intermodal rolling stock
Sweet update! The custom work on that SD50 is unreal. Really love the marker and porch lights. I'm also a fan of your trackplan. Looks like you got a lot of mainline in there.

Thanks Cam. I was definitely inspired but your layout… I just kept going up!
Great to spend time with your son modeling and running trains. Very cool!!!!
Thank you! My little man was excited to be a part of the video. He thinks we are on our way to becoming UA-cam stars! If we do, Daddy is building a bigger layout!!
You're kids enthusiasm makes me smile. He's going to be teaching you stuff before you know it, lol.
I love the father son hobby thing.
Nice, love seeing the Conrail blue
6:11 that's a beauty
Thank you!
That was really cute with your Son doing sum narration.. I built and painted one of those A-Line 5-pack kits in the SP color scheme back in the late 90's as well as two other regular 5-packers.. they were alot of work.. cool Camelbacks too..
Take care.. DD. 😜🤗
Thank you! My father built me a twin stack in sealand a few decades back… I still run them! It broke his heart seeing the new ones are ready to run and highly detailed! I think he spent 2 months building them!
@@ConrailBostonLineHOLayout I built those three and yes decaling was alot of work in itself... one day @ our local hobby shop there was a used one someone had done up with all the details for $45... I jumped on that so fast and told the guy how much I appreciated whoever built it... 😜Take care... DD
Your motors are highly detailed and look great. The uboats were the soldiers on the B&A war front. They pulled well for their power and the terrain. The B&A was Conrail's test track so you can see everything on that line.
You are correct - the B+A was the testing grounds! One of my favorite photos is a Conrail crew on the mountain on a solid set of ATSF GP40Xs they were testing. Neat!
Some great locomotive projects.Hope you are able to share in more detail in future
Sure. I have a few videos posted that feature the C30-7As, some custom highhood NS Sd40-2s, and our custom CV GP18
Thanks. Will have a browse through your past custom videos,Mike
Could you do a video on weathering /detailing? Your Engines look great !
Sure. Weathering is usually a joint process between my father and I. He is the painter, and I usually do dry brush and powders. We each have our own technique!
I love HO scale model trains 👍⚠️👀
What is the curve radius on your layout and is it all double track?
My minimum curve is around 28.5. The lower and middle levels are double track. The mainlines split at Pittsfield and loop around the room on the upper level coming back on itself where it split, essentially one large reversing loop. The end of the lower level in Palmer is a reversing loop as well
Just subscribed to your channel , is your layout 2 levels ? I can't tell yet .
3 levels. Lower level is Palmer through W. Springfield. Middle deck is Westfield through Pittsfield. Upper level is state line and Post Road
Hey buddy how are you doing I got frist sd70acu in cp it's really nice I been working my collection but also been focusing on my area and working at my new train club get it done
Nice! My sd70acu doesn’t belong on this line, but it’s so damn cool I had to… plus the kids love the modern stuff. Have fun!
