Exactly Jacob... a darn good question. It would only take a few minutes out of her time to do an interview but by refusing she only proved how little she cares for the people who pay her salary. Her butt needs to be rid of as well.

not only should Flint residence not have to pay their poison bills, but they should all be reimbursed medically and financially

First thing that should happen in any meeting or council meeting in Michigan is a nice cold glass of Flint water should be poured for everyone of those members as their only source of water.

Sometimes you get hoodwinked though.. Obama ran first against McCain! So either a pansy or a war monger! Can citizens just say they don't like any of the candidates? Tell politicians to go back to the drawing board? I wish...

In the view of Briggs in The World According to Briggs: It's like you have ordered a Big Mac from McDonald's but McDonald's has replaced the burger patties with sponges. And then McDonald's slaps you in the face and impounds your car if you don't pay for the Big Mac.

stop paying and find out. Then when the Water & Utilities workers are laid off and someone else is paying their bills too.. no money is exchanging hands. No businesses want to come to flint (thats not anyones fault but the population). Flint MIchigan is the perfect example of a Welfare State. This is where America, as a whole, is headed. Unless some people start achieving, and holding thier own people accountable.
      People voted for theses jokes.

Daniel Adam I say go a step further and get REAL personal. Research a bit and make sure they have a gallon for themselves, and produce a bottle for their spouse and each of their children. Call them by name! "Here is a bottle to take home for Emily." If that doesn't tap some humanity...

@5:13 Citizen here is on the right track. Here's what I would have done. I would pay two professional water quality experts that are not local and not state employed for a complete analysis. About $500 local here. I would enlist a chemist from a nearby university to analyze at no cost as a project for community service/health. All testimony and laboratory findings witnessed by notary at 1st, file as an affidavit if it goes to court. To be sealed an given to a lawyer or preferably a close, personally known retired judge. Bills from the city would be collected, notarized and given to lawyer/judge. None are to be paid. When it gets to the point of eviction, you take all info gathered to a *Federal Court* file each and every bill, and correspondence _separately_ as violation of the RICO Act citing extortion, fraud, intimidation as primary elements and also file separately violations of Federal Mail and Wire Fraud, and encourage the F.B.I to conduct a looky-loo.
Then it will be up to them to prove it is water, and demand only 1 demonstration to prove it...drink it.

So you know they have this Just cause somebody is telling you theirs a problem, Were telling you their isn't so shut up and go home and pay your bills, Mentality, Going to them to talk about the issues is Futile, for they Don't see the problem nor Admit their is one/

Nobody got arrested, nobody got thrown out, nobody threw punches, that was a great meeting as far as shit's been going lately! What the fuck are y'all talking about!? I support the movement, I'm just saying tensions are way high, and that was not chaos; that was passion, that was fever, that was righteousness, but that was not chaos... Much love, keep fighting the good fight!

I recall when we use to start meetings with prayers, schools prayed and recited hymns, etc. Where the spirit of the lord is there is liberty and there is order. Now we have leaders who care about themselves. We need to invite God back into our meetings and schools and then all these problems will be solved. As soon as God steps in Gentrification will be a thing of the past. We cant fight by ourselves, we need God.

writerconsidered Okay. I haven't seen it. I was following him on twitter and checked it a few times only to be disappointed. Searching Google didn't bring up anything recent, either. The latest I could find was a Dec 2016 article.
I've watched most of Jordan's Flint videos and some of the residents have mentioned his 'silence' and lack of action?
I had hoped he would do more considering it is his home town and it is such a disgusting situation that deserves attention. These people need to be given a voice. I'd rather see him film the tragedy & corruption of Flint than Donald Trump.
I am thankful Jordan has stayed on this. He has done an excellent job. I would just like to see a lot more reporting from others on it, too.

I agree I grew up by the Flint area I know longer liver in lower Michigan. I have family and friends deeply impacted by the corruption. Please lift the residents of Flint up in prayers and positive vibes. I was down in Flint last weekend and it makes me sad to think of the neglect this city is living. As soon as you hit Genesee county I seen a actually shopping cart along the expressway and trash all over. People are giving up who is going to clean up expressways and city streets when you can't even stay bathe or drink the water in your home. I don't think that people are aware that there is so much more to the story. The woman who first discovered the lead in the water was found murdered in her home as well as her friend. All of this money that is being sent to help repair and replace things is gone. I will find the TV 12 flint article in Flint Journal about the murders so everyone that sees this can read it. Sad and horrific. Bless all of you with much love.

Jordan may be the best journalist out there. The only way change is going to happen is if we keep talking about it relentlessly every day until results happen. every main stream media outlet should be talking about the fact that in America a city doesn't have access to clean water and the government poised them

I can not believe this great nation would treat its citizens this way!! We've moved backwards rapidly without a fight. We are long overdue to change direction, time for the awakening, we must stand for something...ethics, values, respect for one another, love one another. Practice the Golden Rule, I pray God helps us to do our best. Help us be better Human Beings!!

The official of Ward 5 seems to be more for his people than the official of Ward 1. Ward 1 seems to be tap dancing while secretly pocketing money from some of the lobbyists.
