    Can't remember how many times I've watched this just for the Chungkingosaurus - that little fella is such a joy to look at, really like the slenderness and proportions of his pose.
    If only PNSO sold Xiaobei by himself, I would get him in a heartbeat...

    I really love this set and hope to pick it up maybe later this year, both look great and as you said the base looks great too. I really had no idea Chungkingosaurus was so incompletely known, you'd think with the recent attention its gotten between PNSO and the JW Evolution game it would be known from more specimens. PNSO does have a mini Tuojiangosaurus which is among the dozen of those that I have and it's a really nice little stegosaur, plus the only Tuojiangosaurus figure I know of and I'm pretty sure more completely known fossil-wise, weird. Another solid review as always, thanks for the good look at this set!

      It’s always nice to get different stegosaurs but the real star is the Yangchuanosaurus. Such a great figure. Still funny how I got this set in before the Ankylosaurus which I ordered a week before. Hopefully everything arrives soon.

      @@DinoScreamReviews Yes, I've always liked Yangchuanosaurus since I used to check out Greg Paul's "Predatory Dinosaurs of the World" book from the library as a kid in which he did what he always did, his infamous genus synonymizations with (like he still does) it being a "species" of Metriacanthosaurus. He's definitely a better paleoartist than paleobtologist haha. The sooner you get your Ankylosaurus the better because mine probably won't be far behind I hope.

      I’ve had the comparisons and my notes out for a couple weeks now waiting for the Ankylosaurus. I always do some extra research while I wait for a model to arrive. Also while researching Yangchuanosaurus I read this one wiki. Made my brain hurt lol “Yangchuanosaurus to be the basalmost known metriacanthosaurid and the only non-metriacanthosaurine metriacanthosaurid”.

    • @itsahostiletakeover
      @itsahostiletakeover 5 років тому

      @@DinoScreamReviews Lmao, yeah the taxonomy and phylogeny is constantly changing. One year it's an allosaurid, the next it's the most basal non-metriacanthosaurine metriacantosaurid 😆 But it's a good thing I guess for the field. We all appreciate you doing the extra digging on facts and info

    Truelly beautiful diorama set really worth the three week wait and 10/10 review my friend😉.The Allosauroidea family are so varied and wonderful.And correct me isn't the larger Yang the Y.magnus and China is the home of the great Stegoes😉

    • @DinoScreamReviews
      @DinoScreamReviews  5 років тому

      Yes Y.magnus is the larger species. It’s so nice to see dinosaur species not given much love on figure form.

      We need more of the dino that are over shadowed by the big Dino rockstars.Have You bought any of the small VITAEs I picked up their Chilantaisaurus it may be standard collecta/safari size but the sculpt is 10/10.
      There is even veins in the neck going to snag more 😉
      And the Cobalt Blue stripes makes him look like a Alpha Male in full breeding condition.

    • @DinoScreamReviews
      @DinoScreamReviews  5 років тому

      I have all the vitae but the Wuerhosaurus. Speaking of vitae what happened to them. They showed off tons of prototypes but nothing came from that. Seems they are more concerned with producing replica fossil plates

    • @UltimateHulk32011
      @UltimateHulk32011 5 років тому +1

      They could have given the big four a run for their money if they had got them prototypes into production.
      Who know may be a change of manage or maybe the smaller figures didn't perform sales wise but their all wee stunner ?
      The fossil plates look grand but their more likely targeted for museums or the highend buyer 😉
