This game has a hell of a lot more content than an average fighting game and with a better story. The full version is already out. Dlc characters aren't going to make it feel more complete, when the game already has roster of 30 fighters.
I've gotten a few epics in bronze boxes alone. Can't say the same for any COD game, I'll open like 20 premium boxes or whatever they call it, and get like 5 items i might actually want. In this game I'll open 4 boxes and get like 10 items i'll actually use once or twice. Not a bad system if you ask me. I'm kind of glad I can't spend real money to complete my epic collection, because that would defeat the purpose.

I found that odd as well. Superman's old tagline was "faster than a speeding bullet" and the Flash is equal to if not faster than Superman. In fact, for Flash to be able to time travel he'd have to be able to run faster than light. Maybe the devs aren't sure how fast bullets are?
You can't buy top notch gear or boxes. The only thing you could buy are colors for your character, which you still could get by playing the game and earning in game points.

I don't feel like the microtransactions are as in your face as overwatch. I bring this up because that lootbox system feels like it's always working against me, but I2 doesn't feel that way at all. 10 hours in and I've gotten really awesome gear by just playing.
Regarding how little I (from personal experience) get legendaries, specifically during events. This system is far far less rewarding and because of this, makes micro transactions more viable ways to get what you want, where as my comparison with injustice 2 is that I am consistently getting new and good items, and in no way feel like the odds are considerably against my favor.
They are not aggressive with micro transaction you use it for useless things and most skins you can unlock from boxes that they give often. Very often. Especially playing multiverse. I have about 6 hours total and have made it quite far and have amazing gear for my character that's I play(green arrow, robin). Also you get in game currency that you can use for boxes and skins...
I like the gear system in theory but it could use some tweaking cuz it can make some characters very powerful for their level. And I wish the mother boxes let you narrow down what can be found, like for certain characters or this box gives gear, this one gives skins and abilities, cuz it's annoying to grind forever and not get gear, skins and abilities for your mains. But overall it's a very fun game, the story mode was very good.
I personally bought it because I enjoyed the first one. Now I think you should buy this game if you loved the first one. Oh yeah btw its 2022 the online servers of this game is kinda dead

I've been using scarecrow flash and blue beetle a lot. they have great looks fluid styles and gear looks amazing if not repetitive at some points but over all I'd say it's an awesome game enhanced by being a comic book fan
I seem to be the only one who doesn't particulary enjoy the fact you have to be precise on miliseconds to hit a move. I love fighter games like Naruto UNR2 on Wii because you still have insane amount of combos you can do but they are also a lot easier to pull of since you have more than quarter of a second to press a button. Guys, DO NOT buy the regular injustice 2. I did that then after a month of grinding I realized that the legendary edition of the game is better because you get ALL the characters like TMNT, SUB-ZERO, HELLBOY etc. so yeah it is worth the money and don’t make the same mistake because I regretted it a lot!!!
Ethan Train with 1 character that you feel comfortable with and try to find references from better players(tournament players etc). Learn to not get frustrated when losing. You mostly learn with each loss and youll probs lose a ton jumping in.
Ethan Yeah....treat it like a Dark Souls game. In Multiplayer you're going to get your a** handed to you.......ALOT. But if you treat each fight as a learning experience and not just a Win/Lose you'll have a better time in the long run.
Ethan 1. use like 3 characters mostly probably batman (he will probably be your highest lvl cuz of story mode) and 2 other ones (i use flash and firestorm) and just practice with them a lot. 2. Download the mobile version link it, get your free diamond motherbox, delete the app
Especially if you haven't played the first one or is on a new console, do the tutorials for each characters and start with characters that are easy to play and learn, a good suggestion is batman. Don't try to play the advanced characters right away Harley Quinn is a complex character to master for example.

While I'm here I'll say I did an injustice 1 tournament with my dad, basically we would pick characters to fight and then do 8 1st round fights and if it's one of my or his characters vs the same person's character than the person would pick one and we did 17 of these with the last one being all the gold medalists With the final results lost to history but Gold: 5 points Silver: 3 points Bronze: 2 points Glass (4th): 1 point In 3rd place in points was batgirl making a very good performance in the last tournaments (my dad's best character) In 2nd place was the joker My and my dad's 2nd best character In 1st place was Deathstroke being my best character and me picking him for every tournament and winning almost a quarter of the tournaments so having many spots in the last one winning the double point finale And least used character being bane used only once in tournament 16 (the less used ones)
I've been playing the shit out of this game and im really digging it so far, my favorites at the moment have to be Dark Seid, Black Canary and the Blue Beetle. I was also a little dissapointed that there was no battle damage on the fighters, but where you said it probably was not there because of the new gear system makes a lot of sense, i didn't think of that.
My worries are that when I buy the game in September it will have died down I'm just curious does anyone think it will die by then or will it still be as popular.
Yeah, it still is popular. I just played MKX online yesterday and there are many players. So if MKX, a game that came 3 year ago is still up, then Injustuce 2 will also.
You left out a HUGE point about microtransactions. Though they're in the game, you can only use them to purchase cosmetic items. You cannot purchase stat boosting items with these microtransactions which in turn makes the game feel more balanced and fair. I've been earning loot just by playing the game and I feel like I'm already extremely geared up without the need to spend one cent.
And this is why I love being behind in the times. Just snagged Legendary outta the PS store for $15 w/out so much as a screenshot. Just knew it was the right choice. 😎

Im so happy that wisely preordered this game. I never preorder games but this one really deserved it. Even though during the early days after release online mode was down here and there which is expected, online mode worked really well day 1 with no lag or connection issues. Really good game and all the microtransactions are not even noticeable since its only for cosmetics and you will get so many cosmetic changed that its not worth buying.
The buttons aren't even cooperative and my controller is brand new. It might be in the controller settings but keep trying to push the right combo buttons it won't work properly. On tutorial

something that i have noticed during some previous years is that... NEVER BUY game to PC if published by WB, like last Mortal Kombat and Batman games was broken and other 1 got pulled a plug for new content.
Locking premium skins behind Source Crystals (which you get very sparingly, unless you buy them) feels like a dick move. Especially since those are the skins that give you essentially a new character.
I bought this game yesterday morning and put 15 hours into it with 5 friends playing the campaign, multiverse, and 1v1 local multiplayer. I've never been addicted to a fighting game since MK9, and I'm having a helluva time.

I don't have a lot of fighting game expience and I'm not very up to date with my DC stuff. I really like the idea about fighting games mixed with supers. Is this a game for me, or do you guys think I should not buy it?

i love how injustice 2 fluidly moves between cutscenes and fights and also has a fluid story

I've been using scarecrow flash and blue beetle a lot. they have great looks fluid styles and gear looks amazing if not repetitive at some points but over all I'd say it's an awesome game enhanced by being a comic book fan
I seem to be the only one who doesn't particulary enjoy the fact you have to be precise on miliseconds to hit a move. I love fighter games like Naruto UNR2 on Wii because you still have insane amount of combos you can do but they are also a lot easier to pull of since you have more than quarter of a second to press a button. I really want to like the game but I guess I just suck

Guys, DO NOT buy the regular injustice 2. I did that then after a month of grinding I realized that the legendary edition of the game is better because you get ALL the characters like TMNT, SUB-ZERO, HELLBOY etc. so yeah it is worth the money and don’t make the same mistake because I regretted it a lot!!!

Ethan Train with 1 character that you feel comfortable with and try to find references from better players(tournament players etc). Learn to not get frustrated when losing. You mostly learn with each loss and youll probs lose a ton jumping in.
Ethan Yeah....treat it like a Dark Souls game. In Multiplayer you're going to get your a** handed to you.......ALOT. But if you treat each fight as a learning experience and not just a Win/Lose you'll have a better time in the long run.
Ethan 1. use like 3 characters mostly probably batman (he will probably be your highest lvl cuz of story mode) and 2 other ones (i use flash and firestorm) and just practice with them a lot. 2. Download the mobile version link it, get your free diamond motherbox, delete the app
Especially if you haven't played the first one or is on a new console, do the tutorials for each characters and start with characters that are easy to play and learn, a good suggestion is batman. Don't try to play the advanced characters right away Harley Quinn is a complex character to master for example.

While I'm here I'll say I did an injustice 1 tournament with my dad, basically we would pick characters to fight and then do 8 1st round fights and if it's one of my or his characters vs the same person's character than the person would pick one and we did 17 of these with the last one being all the gold medalists
With the final results lost to history but

Silver: 3 points
Bronze: 2 points
Glass (4th): 1 point
In 3rd place in points was batgirl making a very good performance in the last tournaments (my dad's best character)
In 2nd place was the joker
My and my dad's 2nd best character
In 1st place was
Deathstroke being my best character and me picking him for every tournament and winning almost a quarter of the tournaments so having many spots in the last one winning the double point finale
And least used character being bane used only once in tournament 16 (the less used ones)
I've been playing the shit out of this game and im really digging it so far, my favorites at the moment have to be Dark Seid, Black Canary and the Blue Beetle. I was also a little dissapointed that there was no battle damage on the fighters, but where you said it probably was not there because of the new gear system makes a lot of sense, i didn't think of that.

You left out a HUGE point about microtransactions. Though they're in the game, you can only use them to purchase cosmetic items. You cannot purchase stat boosting items with these microtransactions which in turn makes the game feel more balanced and fair. I've been earning loot just by playing the game and I feel like I'm already extremely geared up without the need to spend one cent.
And this is why I love being behind in the times. Just snagged Legendary outta the PS store for $15 w/out so much as a screenshot. Just knew it was the right choice. 😎

DustyBunnies I personally prefer Injustice 2's story. Don't want to spoil anything, but it gives you more choice. MKX has a better ending though.

Im so happy that wisely preordered this game. I never preorder games but this one really deserved it. Even though during the early days after release online mode was down here and there which is expected, online mode worked really well day 1 with no lag or connection issues. Really good game and all the microtransactions are not even noticeable since its only for cosmetics and you will get so many cosmetic changed that its not worth buying.
The buttons aren't even cooperative and my controller is brand new. It might be in the controller settings but keep trying to push the right combo buttons it won't work properly. On tutorial

I wish they made a game like injustice for the Marvel universe. That would be the best game ever. Don't get me wrong, I also love DC, it has many great characters but thanks to the movies I have become insanely attached to the Marvel characters / lore

I bought this game yesterday morning and put 15 hours into it with 5 friends playing the campaign, multiverse, and 1v1 local multiplayer. I've never been addicted to a fighting game since MK9, and I'm having a helluva time.
