Thank you for solving a mystery for me - I know it's 2020 and I'm an artist, and have seen Cricut items in craft stores, but I always thought they were for scrapbookers. Then I began wondering how random crafters were able to "draw" such clean designs on things. The light bulb 💡 finally went off & I realized they were just using a machine. Holy crap now I know the obsession is between my wife and this Cricut Machine LOL now I actually know why she hides in her crafts room so much because this thing looks Wicked fun. I've been wanting to get a cricut for a long time but I don't know much about them yet and what I should even buy 1st. I'm a guy and I almost bought a cricut to make cards for my family on Christmas. I couldn't justify the $430 it costs here in New Zealand. HOWEVER. I now have a permanent CRAFTS storage next the fridge on the boat in which I live. I've made so many handmade cards, even while imperfect, they have layers and spray on glitter... I now go shopping and buy a new card book every now and then.
I will buy a cricut before next Christmas. Thanks for the great video!

Me too...tried the project it came with and what a mess! Paper wouldn’t come off the Matt...it didn’t make sense and the actual videos from the company are dreadful! Thanks for this!

Ive had an Explore for over 2 years and i never knew the markers were so awesome! I have never tried them but i think i will in the future. The gold ink looks like it's embossed!

¿Que configuracion me recomienda para cortar acetato, veo que en el Light Cardstock lo corta bien a la primera pero como hace 2 pasadas sobre el corte luego me levanta el acetato del grip. gracias por tu respuesta.
Hola, no he cortado acetato, así que no estoy familiarizada con la configuración, que yo sepa en materiales hay foil acetate, puedes hacer una prueba con esa configuración, o seguir usando la de light cardstock con mayor presión. Si estás usando explore2 te toca poner custom en el dial.

Thank you for the demonstration, well done. I want to cut stencils that I can glue to glass and etch with sandblasting. My current process is to tape the bottle with blue painters tape, then I glue the printed paper design to the tape surface, then comes the hard part of cut out each letter with a razor. I find that the paper withstands the etching process, but I can only use the template once. What material would you recommend for such projects.
You're welcome. I've never used a sandblasting, so I'm not sure what material will be the best. I had glass etching before using etching cream, and for this, I used adhesive vinyl, I made a video about it with Silhouette, but you can do it with Cricut too. ua-cam.com/video/-DbMdTY9PmM/v-deo.html

I have my own designs in PDF and in JPEG. Do I need to convert them into another extension to be able to cut them on this machine?
You can upload them in jpeg, svg or png format. It doesnt work with pdfs
