Karley Hall 😂 I had to tell myself I had an issue and stop from going back to the store... until yesterday cause I needed moss (Of course ended up getting more than just that lol)

This is an awesome review! I just bought a heat press and it will be here Wednesday, I be been debating on a cricut to go with it and I was at target just now, $249 for the air 2 and I price matched with Amazon and boom got it for 200! Now I’m getting a sweet tea and headed home to open it! Happy Mother’s Day 🤘
Glad I came across your comment. I been watching videos for decide trying to decide between getting a heat press or a cricut. Now im thinking do I need both? Lol I do a lot of fashion DIYs, styling and been learning how to sew more. Now wanting to get these new machines to create merchandise to sell for mt brand. Idk what to dooooo😩
Isn’t a heat press just like a giant iron though? Why not start with the Cricut which will provide the designs and you can Iron it at first, then upgrade to the press? Just wondering if there’s more to it
Keisy Diaz well I do screen printing already so I can do sublimation designs and iron one with it, but it goes much hotter than an iron on so when I screen print it cures the ink really well, I have the cricut maker now and using them hand in hand is amazing!
T. Smith cricut is good for cutting out heat transfer vinyl so that your designs are pre cut when you put them on to the shirt, it can also cut out pre printed designs and which is a plus, I really recommend a cricut especially if you already have a heat press because it opens up so many more doors when you have both.
This video was really useful. The Explore Air 2 would satisfy my needs but I think the Maker would still be better for a more adaptable future in crafting.
I'm so glad I found this video. I'm a pre beginner crafter, I have a lot of ideas for projects and getting different items together, I just need some me time and one of these awesome machines. I never knew what a cricut was for until the other day, now I'm obsessed and have to get one. You helped me decide which one will be right for me. Thanks😊
I LOVE The Maker so much! It is amazing. I told my husband I was going out for a bit and he said, "You dont need any more vinyl!" I wasnt going for vinyl; I was going for Infusible Ink!
The maker is my choice. Now to come up with the money. Neither are in my budget & seem out of reach right now. I love making things, crafting, painting etc. I can't make everything my creative mind wants to make just yet. I will keep a positive outlook & know that I'll be making everything my heart desires 1 day soon. Thanks for the video 💜
I am just started to look at the Cricut machines, but this review is by far the most straightforward and easy-to-understand review that I have seen. For someone who has minimal knowledge of the features of the Cricut, your review helped me understand both machines without getting lost in the jargon. I am mainly a calligrapher, but I have very interested in the pen and embossing features on the Cricut Maker. Also, I love the photos behind you! You must be an excellent photographer as well! I look forward to exploring your channel in more depth.
Just got my cricut explorer 2 today. I have watched learning videos of how to use my machine. After watching your video it put my mind at ease knowing I bought the right one as a starter. Once I get the used of using the machine, I'll buy the maker in the future.
Just got the Maker as my early Mother's Day gift from Costco...it's $399 right now till 3/29 with bonus starter kit. Thank you so much for your review. Very helpful.
Brand new cricuit owner! I decided to go with the Air 2 as I knew I wouldn’t be doing any fabric, wood, leather, and engraving crafts in the future. I wanted to focus on card making and vinyl crafts! I am an absolute beginner but I am hesitant to go all out right out of the gate. I’m going to research and see how to really get used to Design Space to get more comfortable before I start my crafts. Thanks so much for your content! Definitely subscribing!

I had to back it up 3 times to be sure I heard it correctly because I was laughing so hard! Great video, thank you!

I think I’ll probably take the plunge and spend for the maker so I won’t have to upgrade later. I’m also a novice sewer and have gotten back into sewing on my old sewing machine so I’ll be able to use more of the makers aspect for sewing projects! I'm definitely set on getting the Cricut Maker. Because you, Karley, have helped me make my choice, and have led me into the Cricut world. There's no way in heck I'll ever get a Brother ScanNCut machine. EVER.
Thank you so much for explaining the difference between the machines... I have been trying to find a machine that will cut through wood, as I repurpose boxes, jewellery boxes etc so always looking for different pieces of shaped wood, mdf etc So it sounds like the maker is for me...

I placed my order today since it is on sale at Amazon in Canada right now. :) Thanks for putting this out there - extremely helpful for me. Great GREAT video! And the comments helped as well! I am ordering the air 2 to start and getting the maker after a bout a yr or 2! Right now only need it for shirts, masks, socks and other fabrics for branding! Thank you so much for sharing this!!
I'm a novice quilter and card maker. Crictit Maker would be the better choice. Thanks for help. I can make appliques. Not looking for speed, just accuracy👍👍
The Air Explore 2 I do have but was informed if your still under warranty do not use it for wood or heavy other items. I just purchased The Maker alone with the Epson Copy Thank you for the information 🤗❣️
Thank heaven I found your video! I've been trying to figure out the differences from the cricut website and felt like I was traveling in a foreign country. Thank you for pointing out the differences so clearly and succintly.
I love my circuit air 2. It's help me with alot and there are ways to do exactly what a circut maker does, you just have to try other ways and you will see It does the same thing the maker does, improvise.
This was actually really helpful for making my decision. I’m a fashion design student and wanted to get one for other projects but I had no idea that I could cut fabric with this machine 🤯 so glad I stumbled onto this.
Thank you Karley, I've been struggling with which cricut to purchase, this assisted to making an informed decision! I'm ready for the maker! Thank you soooo much!
As someone who works on heritage railways, and has a father who does model making in his spare time, I'm looking at the Cricut Maker, since I'm likely to work on a variety of materials.
Oh great. You put this out right in time for my wifes birthday, anniversary AND Christmas. She has the first version.. now shes gonna want the Air II... LOL..
@@KarleyHall I hope she doesn't see our conversation....LOL.. She watches all your IG stuff as well as your new YT stuff! Lol ..she loves your tutorials! Great vids!
I have been a Silhouette person since 2014 and purchased the Cameo 4 in March when COVID started. The first time I use it, it didn’t cut. Was directed to a customer service rep and had to send photos and videos of my actions to prove if it was user or machine error. After jumping through these hoops they asked for more photos and videos. At this point I was done. Instead of replacing, refunding or having me send in for repair, they want me to send more videos? I don’t think so. I went in to Michaels and Hobby Lobby for supplies for my old machine and there are minimal supplies for Silhouette. I believe this is my sign. $300 sitting on the floor, unable to use, as they will not refund me. Heartbreaking.Thank you for this video. I am now saving for a Cricut Maker! I am done with Silhouette.
This was so helpful!! Thank you so much 😊 I had no clue which one to pick. My hubby is getting me one for my birthday & thanks to your advice I’ve decided on the Maker. I can’t wait!!!!
Cutting fabric: You can iron fabric to freezer paper before cutting. Freezer paper acts like a temporary interfacing, which the fabric peels right off of (and the freezer paper shape can be used a few more times onto fabric. But then you’ll be cutting by hand after that first time in the Cricut. Great for needle-turned appliqué when the raw cut edge isn’t seen because you’re folding it under).
You've sold it to me, I think I'll go for the Maker as its future proof! A little business making stuff for friends will be easy with this! Thank you! 😁
Thank u soo much this made my decision soo much easier in which i should go for im a beginner and really tired of doing free hand lettering and also cutting all of my cardstock templetes of making my flowers. I will be buying the maker instead of Maker 2. Time wise i would not make a big deal of it in cutting wise of machines. Thank you for taking the time of explaining to us. 🥰❤️
Hello, like your video, but still not sure which one to get I like to make heat transfers cause usually I buy them already made but it's getting very expensive, I like making cards etc should I get the white one or te red one
You can pay £10 at hobby craft if your in the uk for a cricut course it’s 121 and you can go and ask what you need to know. It’s aimed at new users mainly. Not sure what other country they trade in other than The USA as they are a us brand and business. Worth a look.
Thank you so much for your very informative video. I have been thinking about purchasing a Cricut machine for almost a year. You have just helped me make my decision. Thank you!
This is a really great channel and I love this video! I purchased the Explorer Air 2 for my sticker maker and paper projects, had I known the Maker was available I would have purchased though to learn future projects, but I will make it work and start and learn small projects, and if I grow for advance projects, I will purchase the other one, and give away my other to my daughter.
I'm now about to make my purchase.. had already decided on the Explore Air...but after watching this video I believe the Maker is the way to go. Thank you!
Thank you for the positive advise on both machines..Ive seen some videos where it makes 1 look and operate better than the other. In this case I don't feel as if I would make a bad decision either way.. Thanks again !!!
This is the best video I ever seen. Regarding which cricut to purchase.. This video has helped me to decide which 1 i want.. Thank you for your expertise its much appreciated....
This is so helpful! I think the Air 2 is the best for me and good on my pockets. Anyway, any recommendations for printers that are good for stickers/vinyl/cardstock?
Thinking about getting it .Whats the cost , Pros and cos before I get it .What is it that I need because I was thinking about starting my own business .Designing my own clothes etc and I wanted to get something that would actually work . & have everything I need to get through my business.
Maria Reynolds you can shop through the links in the video description to see who has the best deal right now! If your budget allows- I would recommend the Maker since it sounds like you want make your own clothing and may want to cut fabric. If you just mean iron-on/ heat transfer vinyl on shirts- then you would be just fine with the air 2!
Karley Hall thank you so much for replying I appreciate it I don’t really know what it is that I want to do because I want to do both iron and fabric lol 😂 but I don’t know how to sew or anything to have fabric other than using the heat or iron but I only want to do like clothes ,Hats and things for the bed room , bathroom and kitchen areas ...I hope that makes sense .
Maria Reynolds it sounds like you may be able to get away with an Air 2!! But I will say if you read the comments several people regret not splurging for the Maker! So if you can afford the Maker- you know you won’t regret it! You never know if you want to engrave something! 🥰
Thank you!! I'm late to the game regarding investing in a cutting machine. I did choose the Maker! Yeah ME! I am the "go-to" person to do a bulletin board, design, or come up with something creative for a party, etc. but poor me. My cutting tool was a great pair of *whispering* scissors! But fear not, I am on board and your video confirmed it. I am looking for videos to show me everything that I can do with this thingamajig!! Thank Karley!! I will be watching more of your craftorials! ;-)
Your Video truly helped me decide which cricut I want to purchase thank you so much . hands-down the best comparison video out of all of the comparison videos I have viewed here on UA-cam.
I’m new here! Hello! Thank you for the informative video. I just want a Cricut to make custom shirts, stickers, stickers for tumblrs is the cricut air 2 the one for me to start off with? Please let me know :)
So to clarify, if I’m making things like custom rolling trays, stickers for them, decals, custom tumblrs and shirts... would a maker be needed or could I hold off if that’s all I plan on pursuing for now?
Jenna Martin a machine would definitely be needed. These machines cut and draw the only other way you could do this is cutting out everything by hand or doing full paper project (not cutting anything out) by using the machine you could use sticker paper or vinyl and simply cut out the design you need without it you wouldn’t be able to compete the projects you described. Hope this helps!
Dang. Just bought my mom the Air for Christmas cause the Maker was sold out and reading the comments, not a single person would have chose the Air. I guess I'll have to wait for Mothers Day on the Maker
Thank you for the demonstrations! This helped answer my question and I will be getting the Cricut Maker. I saw a more recent video that said the Cricut Explore Air 2 can cut hundreds of materials, but it was more of a comment in passing and they only showed it printing stickers. So this video was really helpful.
Thank you so much for the video, I stress so much about researching machines for my business and you made it a lot easier. I dabble in everything that I can until I find what I love so the Maker is on my buy list now.

I have been ordering on Etsy but the lengthy wait has been a real issue. Do you have an tips? I did not buy a machine yet until I could have that question answered first and then take it from there. Wow, thanks for such an informative video! Definitely made me lean more towards the air || since I just want to work with vinyl and not enough interest to branch into wood, fabrics, etc. with the maker.
Larry Dunk Jr that’s awesome! right now I only focus on the tools offered by cricut because I don’t want to be held responsible for any machine damage that may occur by using 3rd party tools. That’s not to say I don’t do it- but you probably won’t see me recommending it on my channel- just yet ;)
Great Video. I was unsure why there was two differences and I am buying this for my daughters birthday. Since watching this, I to will be buying one for myself. Thank you for such a great informative video.
The air 2 is a beast, if it had the adaptive tool system, it would be an amazing machine... even at going over the material a second time it would still beat the maker...

I'm a beginner and this video was VERY helpful! To start I'll be getting the Cricut Explore Air 2 I'm so excited!
Waiting for my Maker to come in the mail. So excited!
Did you receive yet? Loving it??
I have the Maker but only have made Tshirts.
RobinTheGurlWonder was it worth the better version then?
I'm a novice quilter and card maker. Crictit Maker would be the better choice. Thanks for help. I can make appliques. Not looking for speed, just accuracy👍👍
I've looked through many comparison videos and this by far is the best one. Now I know how to actually make the right choice.
I’m a fashion design student and wanted to get one for other projects but I had no idea that I could cut fabric with this machine 🤯 so glad I stumbled onto this.
what one did you get I want to print on t shirts jumpers etc
Just recieved my cricut maker today, same colour. Happy happy happy ❤
Very helpful, I am looking to buy one of these for my wife and this helped me make my decision!
still not sure which one to get but thanks for this informative video my favorite color is red !
Oh great. You put this out right in time for my wifes birthday, anniversary AND Christmas. She has the first version.. now shes gonna want the Air II... LOL..
Haha I think that'll score you some major points with your wife ;)
Just ordered the maker! Can’t wait to get my hands on it.....😍
You've sold it to me, I think I'll go for the Maker as its future proof! A little business making stuff for friends will be easy with this! Thank you! 😁
I want the maker too but what she said I didn’t understand, what did you pick up?
Hi Karley, great presentation for a beginner like me. Much extra to my budget but, your an expert I'll lean to Cricut Maker. Cheers.
the best demo of all... the entire youtube didnt have the video I was looking for except you! God bless!
I'd love to learn more about engraving and embossing
You can pay £10 at hobby craft if your in the uk for a cricut course it’s 121 and you can go and ask what you need to know. It’s aimed at new users mainly. Not sure what other country they trade in other than The USA as they are a us brand and business. Worth a look.
Thank you so much for your very informative video. I have been thinking about purchasing a Cricut machine for almost a year. You have just helped me make my decision. Thank you!
I just got the Air 2 but wish I had gotten the maker.
Carly Nunez the Air 2 is a great machine! You can always upgrade down the road if you end up needing more tools!
Karley Hall that’s the plan! May do it when more things have been added to the maker.
@@carlynunez2075 THE new one is in the making so I would just wait on it to come out.
Thank you!
This video is helpful as I am researching the best option to purchase. Looks like the Cricut Maker is the right one for me.
Thanks Karly, just ordered my Maker. I have the air 2 but want to expand with the tools. Thanks to MGL for introduction.
I am definitely getting the cricut maker. This video was so informative. Thank you 😊
Hii does the air 2 cut flux lether and if so ,what blade do i need ?
I got the cricut maker for Christmas and I’m so excited to use it. I’m a beginner at crafting. Really enjoyed your video.
Mayra Tristan you will absolutely love it! Thanks for watching my video!! :)
Can you tell me how thick the wood was and how big a piece of wood will fit in the machine (width by length) Thanks for the video!
I'm 42. Listening to you talk about what a cartridge is .. I feel old....
Haha! I felt old talking about a Gameboy haha!
I will be watching more of your craftorials! ;-)
I’m only wanting the machine to do vinyl labels for glass jars, plastic bottles etc would it be better if I go with the explore air 2?
Tori de Malmanche yes
Your Video truly helped me decide which cricut I want to purchase thank you so much . hands-down the best comparison video out of all of the comparison videos I have viewed here on UA-cam.
I’m new here! Hello! Thank you for the informative video. I just want a Cricut to make custom shirts, stickers, stickers for tumblrs is the cricut air 2 the one for me to start off with? Please let me know :)
Yes it is! Cricut Air 2 is the one to go with..
I'm really only looking to make stickers and iron ons for shirts. Im thinking the air is best
I think you’re right! Unless you plan to print stickers on colored materials! Then the Maker would be a better choice!
You could use either machine for your business!
Dang. Just bought my mom the Air for Christmas cause the Maker was sold out and reading the comments, not a single person would have chose the Air. I guess I'll have to wait for Mothers Day on the Maker
The air is a great machine! My mom has the air 2 since she doesn’t use all of the maker tools!
Im new to this and I just want to do custom onesies for my daughter. Which should I get? And can you put images on shirts from google?
Thank you for the demonstrations! This helped answer my question and I will be getting the Cricut Maker. I saw a more recent video that said the Cricut Explore Air 2 can cut hundreds of materials, but it was more of a comment in passing and they only showed it printing stickers. So this video was really helpful.
Thank you so much for the video, I stress so much about researching machines for my business and you made it a lot easier. I dabble in everything that I can until I find what I love so the Maker is on my buy list now.
Kate yay! That’s amazing! Please let me know if you need any other help! When you’re ready to buy, I would so appreciate if you can shop through my Cricut affiliate links in the description of this video 🥰
They are excellent machines I love them both air pro 2 for easy items and the maker for the rest creat craft live using wood material perfect love it love them both
Hi, i would like to starting making my own planner stickers but i can't figure out where to find great designs and pics to print out. I have been ordering on Etsy but the lengthy wait has been a real issue. Do you have an tips? I did not buy a machine yet until I could have that question answered first and then take it from there. Thank you very much for this video.
Hello! Which one is better to make cake toppers? I was debating to get one. I don't know how this machine works but it’s never too late to learn. Hope you can help me. Thank you 😊
Wow, thanks for such an informative video! Definitely made me lean more towards the air || since I just want to work with vinyl and not enough interest to branch into wood, fabrics, etc. with the maker.
Starting a business soon. I can use the help. I believe Cricut Maker is for me
This was exactly what I needed! Thank you!
Thank you so much. I'm a Cricut noob and this video was SO helpful. Thank you for making this!
I have the cricut explore air 2 and i use an engraver on my cricut. I have engraved on stainless steel cooking utensils.
An you explain? I’m not sure which to buy
Hi can you tell me the color of the Cricut Air 2 that you're using and how could I get it? It is absolutely gorgeous. Please & Thank You.😍🤌🏽👍🏼
