You guys being authentic IS the reason for your continued growth. Dont try and fix something that isnt broken
I for one can do with more violation of human rights.
Correct. I need less insightful conversations. And more silly sideways ones. Not even kidding. I crave it. Always love these intros before the guest comes in. Then it usually seems downhill.
@@shevek2954 dude Conans the best.
Yes! So True! No gimmicks, it's just our love of them being themselves that makes this the number 1 pod !
I would add more visuals to your podcast, because every podcast listener loves pretty pictures.
11:54 "But pee-pee and poo-poo is who we are!", Sona pleaded as a prime example of her authentic humanity and to remind Conan of what the true fans really want. So please do not change, please do not edit yourselves to become brand friendly, please continue being the outrageous, silly, foul-mouthed, witty and REAL versions of yourselves that we know and love!
U said it perfectly
Speaking of pee-pee, in the recent urologist fan episode, sona kept saying pee-pee. Then Conan was like "Sona we are all adults here, so let's refer to it as wee-wee" xD Then the Urologist proceeds to use wee-wee when explaining something.
Yes that’s what they have BIDET advertisers 🚽 😂 and it’s all the better for it!
I could use more drugs. What podcast? What we're talking about?
dude am crying
4:08
Adam Sachs: "We've gotten into big brands"
Conan: "THEY MADE ME SPELL BIDEEEEEEET"
"Lets not get in trouble with major company"
I love how Conan’s team made an internal team meeting an actual podcast episode lol
Do not be more brand friendly, please!!! Conan was too safe on TV, now he is perfect.
Perfectly said!
I love, that Sona pronounced "vagine" Sacha-Baron-Cohen-style, starting at 8:55 😂
They require to due to the guests
Too safe on TV? WIth sketches like wikibear and butterscotch? lol
@@ManTuna666 let's not forget the masturbating bear.
I really really hope Conan and the gang don't change one bit. This is the only channel on youtube where I actually smile and laugh throughout the videos. The ones with Kevin Nealon are still my faves.
Conan is authentic and the Buddha of comedy: don't mess with it - David Letterman (probably)
Yes! The Kevin Nealon segments are absolutely hilarious.
Conan forets everything and you can bet he'll keep cursing along with the others.
they aren’t going to change because they keep getting big companies to advertise as is.
Please don't censor yourselves. I don't want podcasts to become as sanitized and biteless as network TV
Already happened to the Pat McAfee Show and it has definitely declined in hilarious moments
@@AttilatheThrilla To be fair, I have no idea who Pat McAfee but he looks like a douchebag, one look at him and all I think is "alpha male" vibes and him being a fan of Andrew Tate
Conan is the only celebrity I invest in emotionally. I have a great respect for him and am so glad to see how he continues to grow and became his own brand. Something leno could never hope to do as a crap human being. I been with his on camera work since 93 and will continue to be. Kick the tires all you want Conan, the psi is solid.
Leno was on the Kennedy Center Honors for Billy Crystal and he seemed like an old sad guy-not like Dave or Conan who have continued to thrive since leaving tv. It was kind of shocking.
"kick all the tires you want; the psi is solid" such an interesting saying
i'm stealing that
Listen to Sona. Whatever she says or advises, you must do. It's because of her realness that I became such a big fan.
She's real because Conan forces her to be. And he doesn't have an ego. Sona working for anyone else would just be a normal average assistant.
@@goodbot8526 Doubtful. She doesn't care about social hierarchies. It allows her to organise requests more effectively. Conan allows her to be herself.
@@British_Rogue It's mentioned in her interview about fighting with Conan. She once yelled at Conan walking in between a meeting and in front of other people. And that was a big fight between them. That's insane that Conan forgives and allows stuff like that.
Most of us work 8-10 hours for peanuts in thankless jobs. She's getting money, fame for free beyond her wildest dreams. And still sounds egotistical beyond joking sometimes.
@@goodbot8526 Oh for certain Conan doesn't have an ego. He doesn't force her to do anything or be a certain way though. It's why they get along so well. They allow the other to exist as themselves. Zero need for a facade.
Sona: "Sorry. Did you need more from me?" 😂
Sona laughing with abandon at her own joke made my day. I couldn’t stop laughing alongside her. 😂
The minds of brand and marketing people never fail to frustrate the hell out of me. "We're growing, moving forward, and continuing to increase our audience by what we're doing." "But we need to change." 🤦♂
That’s how restaurants work now too. Management company buys the brand, sees that it’s popular and profitable, takes the advice of executives who’ve never worked in food service or guest relations, and completely effs everything up.
At 05:48 Sona immediately protecting Conan when they start discussing brand safety is so sweet!
This AI analysis of podcasts is so menace. It just counts an amount of words, without any context!
a prime example of how to NOT use ai :b
There is no way it's been 5 years already. It feels like you guys just started yesterday. Maybe it's because I've always been a massive fan of Conan and the Gang's content, but it always seems fresh and high energy. It's literally one of the best ways to start the day for me, after a new episode drops.
Love how Adam just dropped the paper on 5:52, just shows how very little regard Conan's staff has for him 😂
All jokes aside, I know his staff treasures a boss like him for sure
Technically, now that Sachs is the head of comedy programming at Sirius, some people could argue that makes Adam, Conan’s boss…😂
The SBF reference out of nowhere was hilarious 🤣
Please don’t stop the language. This show is amazing as is. Let’s not ruin this gem!!!
As I have listen to this episodes over 5 years, it really is a reminder of just how good of a interviewer Conan is with all of the subjects and guest on the podcast. That is a rare skill to have now, because the last to do it and do it well was Carson.
And Craig Ferguson
If they get their Violation of human rights number up, that is sure to get Disney's attention!
Haha. How many advertisers are fine with violating human rights in their sweatshops?
But programs featuring it are the problem.
I wonder if that Metric was due to discussion of the Armenian Genocide?
Sona always keeps Conan in check 😂 definitely why they work so well together
"Advertising here will ruin our good name" - Exxon and Goldman Sachs
Do not change a single thing, keep those numbers the way they are. I’ve unsubscribed from these so called big brands like Disney+, they’ve become a negative mark in my book. Keep it real Gang!
You guys are the best, this is by far one of the funniest eps I've heard.
Please don't change, being yourself is one of the most wonderful things that fans like me love.
This is one of the reasons why Conan has always been hallmarked as one of the greatest talkshow host ever.
Love you guys.
I have always been a huge Conan fan. I was unfortunately unable to watch him because I always needed to wake up early, and never had a DVR. I was aware of his Podcast, but for some reason never really listened to it.
Over the past year or so, it has VERY rapidly become my favorite. I can not get enough of Conan, Matt, and Sona. Also all the hard work the rest of the crew put in to bring me joy. I love all of you, and hope you continue evolving and staying genuine as you always have! I look forward for many more years of laughter and entertainment! :)
I love Sona's laugh.... very infectious
This is exactly what happened to me. Remembered Conan from back in the day on TV. Watched a couple old episodes of this podcast, and came to see the newest material. Analytics are on point, keep your team around. They tell it straight up.
Gorley adding "we're having sex with the other army" just killed me. Man I love these guys.
Been watching this channel since the TV show, watched through the hard times of the pandemic, wishing you more years to come.
I'm buying a hamster JUST so I can trigger my _well actually_ friends by naming him Joseph Gerbils. 😂
🤣🤣🤣
Now I want a reverse brand safety list, which *advertisers* are most and least afraid? Are some OK with conflict but not profanity, and so on.
the Bidet company LOVES the high numbers
Absolutely the funniest way to wake up this morning... 👏
Tell them to shove the “Brand Safety Analysis" BS, you've got over 8.7 million subs. Tell them to suck it.
unfortunately this number doesn't mean much without advertisers. my only dream is that they keep promoting smaller brands so they drive bigger "safer" brands out of business
IMHO most advertisers will forgive any so called indiscretions when they see the 8.7 million figure. That's a LOT of eyes and ears for their products to be in front of. @@EugeneBorzov
"There was talk of Goebbels!"
I LOVE the comments! Conan and team, continue being the INCREDIBLE phenomenon you are!
CONAF is the only podcast I listen to and it’s always gonna be like that. Love to everyone at Team Coco from your number 1 fan in 🇵🇭
Love hearing my favorite podcast for all things military conflict and heroine 🙏
I made a lot of investments in CONAF this year. They would all be UP IN SMOKE... If not for my Solo Smokeless Stove!
Please don't change.... just keep being yourselves.... always very funny and silliness is the best humour.
... the casual reference to "Stalin comes up a lot" during the podcast 08:47 😂
Happy late birthday day Conan 🎉 you are an amazing comedian always cheers me up on a bad day thank you teamcoco
I just wish they would upload the full video podcast on UA-cam
I just started listening a few .months ago. Loving it
I love how Conan switches from comedian to business owner and back. And we all know by now that he's an excellent boss. Many of his employees have been with him for decades! Amazing human / genius😜
8:55 Thank you, Sona.
5 years of good experience. We love laugh and appreciate all of yall. Even matt
The Steven Wright episode this year was the first one I saw, but now I watch all of them
Damn right I go back and watch the older stuff. It is all superb and, as so many others have remarked, authentic, un-augmented, save for the cheesy, funny ads; it's just good, funny people talking and listening, rapping and riffing. It is brilliant. TV? Who needs that?
Keep up the good work, Conester !
What they are describing in this video describes my experience exactly. I sadly just never bothered with the podcast before the algorithm suggested it to me. Wonderful insight from everyone in every clip I have seen so far.
I am sad to admit I only got into this podcast when the Always Sunny Podcast had to go on hiatius because of the strikes. But man, Conan quickly became my favorite to listen to again just like when I was younger, and his late night show was the only one that I connected with.
I've been watching for years. Just noticed I haven't yet subscribed. Remedied.
When is David coming back from his Hawaii vacation?
5 years goes fast with the discovery of this podcast
I feel like the hardest laughs I've had are when they are really banging on something slightly obscene. Like when they were discussing their crushes or when they were discussing the snopes check they had
In my house, it’s at the point where if I’m wearing headphones, looking at my phone, and LAUGHING, my husband doesn’t bother anymore to ask me what it is I am watching. It’s happened enough that he just knows to assume I’m watching a UA-cam clip from this podcast.
It’s cause they’re real and relatable and hilarious. The only reason I even have the podcast app is them.
On Coney being evergreen: I rewatch ye olde vids every now and then. So, no worries on that. Soul Food ep is my holiday movie.
"We're not always talking about the days events" , exactly.......thank god.
The fact that Conan is not as family friendly as it was on TV it’s what make the podcast great. I always liked Conan but the podcast is pure joy and stupidity. Keep it going!
8:48 when they just start saying words I lost it.
After the other day’s vid, I went down a Brian Kiley rabbit hole. It was so funny to see his regular appearances..until I got to Dry Bar comedy videos and the comments were all about how refreshing it was to see a clean comic. People are so delusional and weird. Anyway, love you Coco and the Chill Chums. Happy end of 2023 everyone!
Love Conan! Keep it up!
“Military conflict” got me! LOL
You put your heart and soul into it😚
This show is so close to perfect that it is unbelievable
I have an earbud in my ear at work most of the day and this show is playing 90% of the time
The huge independent success for Conan is karma due for how the scumbags at NBC treated him with the Tonight Show.
You're a great man, Conan. Talented and funny. All success is due.
Love Conan Podcast!!
How funny is this “Brand Safety Analysis" coming just after Conan, as "Blue Brian Kiley", telling the filthiest joke ever.
8:57 Sona made a really important point.
I think it could be very funny to see a reaction of them to early episodes. They were so awkward 😂
Love you just the way you are.
Gourley is slowly morphing into Conan.
you either die a hero....
Really? I'm still not seeing a trace of a personality.
Adam so seriously saying "I don't know" to cockaroo
im a newer listener- started this year and love it
Without the BS and doe eyes you get with having cancer (and hate)...Ha....I found your pod cast when I was stuck in a hospital for about 5 months after cancer surgery. No big but I'm just setting up the comment. I had zero to do except lay on the side where they didn't cut up to take the lung out (not pretty as my but was always showing....), and found your pod cast. I was always a fan of your show but this was great. I got a chance to catch up on a few and honestly, with concert grade meds, I was laughing my ass off. With a lot of drool but I'd laugh so hard my monitors would get the nurses running. Then I got them watching too.
Anyway, turns out your just as funny without the meds. Ha. Love your team and Sona is a gem.
I know you'll never see this but it makes me feel better to give credit where it's due so thanks.
I'm with Conan, the early ads were way better than now with the big brands. Please don't change a bit, I agree with everyone here, you have those numbers because you are authentic and people notice it
Congratulations on 5 years.🎉🎉🥳 I hope you never change.😂😂😂😂
5:50 I love how long Sona laughed at her own joke. xD
Those are great products by the way
*chuckle chuckle
My dream is to have a drink with Conan...funny, interesting and a good guy all around 👍
I can’t believe it’s been 5 years I still remember when it started 😭 I was so excited
I always watch conan late night or podcast on youtube
Idk if I’d call Conan authentic. He’s very upfront about his need to be liked and how he so desires attention and approval. He comes off incredibly in-authentic at times but in my opinion he’s a pretty enjoyable interviewer and he’s carried a ton by his supporting cast that he always tries to undermine. I don’t love that. Same for the fact you blatantly just confessed to wanting to bend to more advertisers that really makes me feel like this is an honest, genuine podcast. Congrats on the growth! :)
This is really instructive. I think all CONAF episodes are hilarious but I did not know that major brands did such a deep dive when considering advertising on a podcast.
This is the greatest thing I've ever seen lol 💜
Congratulations 🎉❤
Joseph Gerbils would be a character on a Conan produced Adult Swim show.
A major season plotline would be his getting over his Richard Gere trauma.
Turns out his girlfriend broke up with while they were watching Pretty Women. He calls it his Richard Gere trauma and is oblivious to what other people think that means.
Edit: he's also completely oblivious to why his name is problematic.
@@shevek2954 "I can't get anything published for some reason. Well... There was that one guy but then he said he was expecting something more Mein Kampfy and rescinded the offer."
As far as I am concerned, you guys really exceeded all my expectations. This is true since the early beginnings of this podcast - but it is also especially true this year: Team COCO has been *on fire* ... keep up the good work, guys🙌🙌🙌
🧡🔥❤🔥🧡🔥❤🔥🧡🔥❤🔥🧡🔥❤🔥🧡🔥❤🔥🧡🔥❤🔥🧡🔥❤🔥
.
PS (edit): There's only one thing or two, that could top everything in 2024: Hans & Franz goes cinema... Or maybe, like, gofundme_Hans_&_Franz... Plus: Robert Smigel and his little doggie are added to the crew as independent correspondents (but also as permanent members!). Just saying...
Conan and the gang never gets old lol also “idk” - Adam QOTY
After waching' dis I be cloloured with a gr8 mood. Green heart emoji. Guess we're here.
If I had known how creative Conon is, I would have watched it earlier. It's funny because people can resonate with the monologue.
nice save, Conan!
1:20 yes we do
While I know Conan has always professed to love all advertisers, he is also a comedian. I think that Conan and the fans love that he is uninhibited by TV standards and practices and is able to say and do pretty much whatever he wants. He may want brand support and that's totally understandable, but the fan support numbers justify the bigger brands taking a chance on advertising with his channel. BTW, is Sirius/XM using his podcast material? Are they okay with "poopy" talk?
Now I'm getting hungry for fried chicken.
To work for the crew would be a dream come true!
I love how ballsy Matt has become xD ("You got it cockface...") compared to how reverent he used to be. Just goes to show that no one can respect Conan for very long :P
great end to the clip lol
You had me at "If we could just say State of The Podcast one more time."
