Insane LEGO Train Racing (Thalys Returns!)

- A sentimental moment for me! Gerard dusted off the old Thalys it all started with! And upgraded it with the insane High power BuWizz battery packs, delivering 12 volts to the standard LEGO Power Functions Motors. 2 motors per locomotive makes a total of 4 motors. It made the train so powerful it shifted the tracks in reverse direction underneath!
The only way to drive on such high speeds without derailment is the use of the ALL NEW Trixbrix R184 curves! 4 new types of curve are available: R136, R152, R168 and R184. For this video we used R184 on one side of the loop and R168 on the other side.
Driving the train was quite nerve wrecking with such high speeds but so much fun and so damn cool!!

Amazing dude! The new huge curves by trixbrix are perfect for the high voltage from the BuWizz bricks. The only way my trains stay on track when using BuWizz on the high voltage setting is by using long curves. And that Thalys by Gerard is still an amazing build!

@@oscarvanwalstijn6902 if you look at the title of the video, the maker is using TrixBrixs R184 curves. And not straight track with a gap.
The green blocks are for the inwards grade so the train doesn’t derail at high speed.

There is an alternative for BuWizz: Connect a 3S LiPo battery for drones or race models to a SBrick - I tried it and the SBrick can handle it ... Yeah, speeeeeeeed
Yes, I know that also. Thats a good option, but I wanna build it so lego style if possible. Or a thirtparty.

I am using the new LiZn batteries with 1.7V! Also high speed with standard Lego PU motors.
WOW dit gaat wel heel snel. Het is natuurlijk ook de Thalys. Maar gave opnames hoor. Hoe krijg je dat voor elkaar met die meelopende camera als de trein op snelheid rijdt. Geinspireerd door jou buiten video's met treinen. Zelf ook maar 1 gemaakt, met uiteraard mijn Maersk (custom) treinen. Het smaakte naar meer. Dus ik ga het zeker nog eens doen
Dat meelopen is precies wat het is :D heel veel rondjes meelopen in volle concentratie met ballet stapjes, buiten adem zijn en dan hopen dat er wat bruikbaars bij zit :D Heb gekeken! gaaf!

Mooi gedaan ook met de verkanting van de rails, de rails zag ik regelmatig bewegen misschien met dubbel zijdig plakbant de rails vast leggen? 👍👍😊
Dank! Dat is inderdaad een optie! Dan moet je het alleen wel overal echt goed vastplakken, anders breekt de rails juist door de tape ergens en ligt je hele trein in stukken tegen de muur! :D bizarre snelheden! :D

I have lego traits too. As the red passenger train, yellow goods train. Whithe train that you have too. Blue goods train. Green goods power up train. Yellow passenger power up train. And a turn tablet perhaps we can work together for a big train rails

Maybe you can use double adhesive tapes under some of the curves to prevent the tracks from moving?
It will introduce more risk than without it if not done right! But yeah!

It will probably be totally crazy if it works. And of course I get enough #Lego rails.
The #Bauleitung how the passenger wagons are connected would be super cool. So that mine and the bogies are optimally built that it looks similar to the Thalys.

Das wahrscheinlich total crazy werden wird, wenn es in der Umsetzung Klappt. Und ich natürlich ausreichend #Legoschienen her bekomme.
Auch die #Bauanleitung wie die Personen Waggons verbunden werden wäre super cool. Damit meine wie die Drehgestelle optimal gebaut werden das es ähnlich aussieht wie beim Thalys.

Don't tell anyone but I am working on a comeback! \o/
I have looked at his channel and it seems he doesn't get enough views on most of his latest videos to make a living. When you create videos on that scale, also like me, you need the videos to be watched because making these videos is very time consuming and when it takes so much time, you obviously don't have time for another job and we all need to pay rent, food, taxes etc. My videos often take weeks of hard work in preparation and shooting day is so much work, it is actually too long/too much work for one man to do but it has to be done anyway! So after such a day I have to rest a few days...
It also has to with the overwhelming amount of content on youtube. Made by people who are only in it for the money, like all those top 10 videos; most of it is stolen material. My footage gets stolen a lot as well.
It's sad to see that authentic genuine creators like us are being pushed out by these guys who often use dirty tricks to get you watching their videos. A lot of people fall for that and they decide the direction of the algorithm.
@@bananenbuurman Those top 10 and compilation videos are the worst. Especially the misleading thumbnail ones. No matter that I search for, those often appear first in search results. Annoying that UA-cam allows this to happen, but it's probably their main source of income as well.
I sure do miss the days when UA-cam was about Broadcasting yourself instead of only being about money.
Can some one make a top 10 organs to sell for a buwizz?
