I had a gym teacher in elementary school that reminds me of Dan. As a male student, and other students were consistent on calling out the creepy behavior towards my female classmates and the gym teacher would always play it off as a 'joke'. One of the consistent running 'jokes' was him walking in the female change rooms when the girls were changing, and make inappropriate jokes and play it off as 'letting them know to hurry up, because girls always take too long getting ready for anything'. Disgusting!
We literally had a similar thing. But in our school our locker rooms were in the bottom like a basement and both locker rooms had a door that met each other, he would just walk straight through from the boys or come into our locker room when we're half naked or less to walk over to the boys because it "was faster" and made inappropriate comments. Had a girl in my class with DD naturally, literally walked up to her and told her there's no way those things are real... we were 15 o.o and he still got to keep his job up until he decided to retire a year before i graduated. Turns out he knocked up one of the students. He served some jail time, but apparently they have a little family now? Weird af.

That has always been my thought. Nickelodeon executives knew the abuse was going on and they let it happen and did nothing to stop it. Now why would they make some of their child stars sign NDAs? I don’t see how the NDAs could be enforced; since they are about don’t talk about the abuse you suffered as children on our shows. These actors should start talking. Let Nickelodeon sue these former child actors talking about the abuse they suffered that the execs did nothing to stop. It’ll make Nickelodeon look bad. Some execs should be held accountable.

Men and women should be able to work together in any environment without fearing each other. While entertainment needs the biggest changes, other companies also need to be mindful of all of their employees. Predators sadly can lurk anywhere including churches, sports teams, grocery stores, and more.
I remember working at McDonald's and a manager YOUNGER than me (he was early 20s and I was late 20s) making inappropriate sexual comments to me constantly. I was talking about how my back itched and he was like "oh it's cause you be laying on it all day" and I was like "No that's not it" and he laughed like "sure". I wish I had said "what do you mean by that exactly" because we all know what he meant by that. So yeah predators really are EVERYWHERE including regular jobs.
In professional work environments, try that “free speech” shit and let us know how that goes. Human Resources doesn’t exist for fun.

I worked for restaurants at a popular theme park and we had one manager knock up a server, had another manager who was always sexist and never helped female employees unless they were in what we called his "circle." Found out after my gf got screwed over for a registered mental health issue and another friend who was a lower level manager left the department and then the company for not getting any credit and having newer, lazier, male managers get credit for her projects, that he only helped female employees if they flirted back with him when he flirted with them. Mind he was married. (So was the manager who knocked up the server though). Then had another manager who would make inappropriate advances on my female co-workers and ended up attempting to r*pe a friend of mine who he use to work with before becoming a manager, until she woke up and kicked him out. He's no longer a manager but still works for the company despite my friend providing text conversations where he pretty much admitted to it. The company brushed all of those under the rug. But this same company likes to tout how good of a company they are to work for marginalized people when they continuously union bust and have a lot of issues with discrimination and sexual harassment that they brush under the rug.
In a perfect world. I've had female coworkers touch my butt at work. I'm a guy. Im straight but I personally don't like my butt being touched in general even if she's attractive to me or not it's not my thing. People who don't respect space or fact someone doesn't wana be touched suck.
I think what this girl is doing is amazing work. And the fact that you've waited 17 years for justice is nuts, I can't imagine how hard it must've been to see them get away with everything. We need more people like you in this world Alexa
Thank god more people are feeling more comfortable about coming forward. I feel like Jeanette coming forward changed the landscape a little bit because other survivors saw that she was embraced for doing so and that so many of us do believe survivors. So now more people are coming forward about their abuse.
I'm glad this person came forward because I always assumed him to do much more inappropriate things, but also saddened that those teens had to experience that. They were all victims including the St. Jude children! Having to witness sexual harassment (assault basically) indirectly traumatizes you. I remember when I overheard one of my coworkers tell another she wouldn't get a ticket by police because she had large breasts. While married, while his wife was our coworker. It was one of my first shifts and I remember just walking away trying to separate myself and pulling my shirt up more. I was thinking "omg maybe they're having an affair! I don't want to get involved this is crazy!" Especially because he was a much older man. So gross!

We all need to start a movement to get him and Brian Peck, and all the other people responsible for this to be put in jail. And maybe Nickelodeon might not be the toxic environment now that it was years ago, but this network can’t be allowed to go on without paying for what it did to those other child actors. Yes there’s probably problems that happened on Disney too and other networks that aren’t necessarily aimed towards kids, but nickelodeon has this track record now with disgusting revelation after disgusting revelation, and I don’t think a network like this should go on at all if this is their reputation. So we should petition it to get shut down. To have the whole network canceled. I mean they are honestly no more good nickelodeon shows. And probably no one even watches SpongeBob anymore and that’s one of the most longest running shows on the network.

While Disney actually airs multiple shows even the ones that ended. I feel bad for Stephen he never wanted SpongeBob to be dragged on this long and frankly I’m so convinced the favorite cartoon category from the KCA is rigged.

What this person has said happened while they were on set, is sickening. I feel so bad for everyone who had to endure this type of behaviour, and I hope they recover/heal smoothly 💕🙏

I remember Dan Schneider from his show Head of the Class and I also remember being surprised that he became a children's television creator versus being an actor. I wasn't sure why I felt that way until my own trauma came to the forefront and now I realize my instincts were correct all along. There are WAAAAY too many predators in the world, especially in the TV and film industry.

Thank you Alexa! Thank you for empowering survivors and for sticking up for the voiceless in the industry for years. I was a child watching Nick during the time when these shows were airing, I used to want to be IN them. I had no idea that the jokes being made were so sexual. I’m glad my mom wouldn’t let me. But even just thinking about what child actors had to go through on those sets breaks my heart. Especially those who had the misfortune of working with Dan.

I love Alexa. Honestly her braveness is what we need. She is definitely starting this movement of exposing all these predators and the behind the scenes of everything. This is only the start, and I would argue that we’re right before the start of exposing high profile predators because everyone is so scared to come out right now. Soon, everyone that’s scared to come out will eventually reach the “f it , it’s old enough to not f up my life anymore” point. Until then we need more people like her.

Why are we still protecting these people? Why not name the show? Why not name the actress who was rude and dismissive. If we keep hiding their names and where they work, are we not giving the predators and bullies the chance to create more victims? I know it's a fine line, and we must protect the victim, which should be first and foremost, but by not naming the shows, the people, and their vile act aren't we just making it easier for them to make more victims?

What I can’t seem to understand is why no one has sued Nickelodeon or sued Dan. Drake Bell is the only person that has taken it to court. Why is that? Jennette wrote a book but never bothered to sue Dan or his network. Alexa could’ve sued for emotional suffering and I know that will cost money too cuz they have expensive lawyers but still. Drake is a musician too so even if he never acted again he had his music to fall back on maybe that’s why some actors don’t want to speak up cuz acting is all they have. They can’t afford to get blacklisted you know. Bug Hall has a yt channel and on one of his videos he talks about his experience in Hollyweird as a child actor.
I hope soon victims and witnesses will gang up on Dan in court. There are evidences already and the show is a huge exposure about Dan, Brian, and all them predators.

The social media platform that the kids use at Hollywood Arts used in Victorious. Nickelodeon made the site and posted blogs about the characters like they were real. It’s where you get the weird videos on cat
'The Slap' was filled with Nickelodeon / Dan Scheiders top shows, and it was like a social media platform but webside. it had BTS of icarly, victorious, sam & cat etc, a website where you could ask cast members questions, give dares, you could send in videos if they were "requested" like if Dan wanted to do a weird thing and ask people to send in feet pics, and just filled with random videos of the cast members that dan took

If she wanted to be anonymous she gave far too much information. A lot of us grew up on these shows, and I for one instantly know what scene of which episode of which show she was talking about, and she also mentions having the most lines, which would allow people to make a distinction between her and the other girls.
