That subway, ha ha That whole project is a massive joke i use with my gov friends. I came in start of 2015, and they were "Mid-done' 2 years later JPN realized money was being spent on yellow paint and new cars and pulled out...Meanwhile 10 years later "We just built our first 3 dead end underground entrances
That subway is a lost cause

I would say working at Billigual/International Schools are requiring at least a Internationally recognized Teaching License/Certificate or degree in Education. My school use to hire people without that requirement with a TEFL/TESOL for the basic programs. But they changed the policy. So I made it in before that happened and completed my US Teaching license program this past year. And letting all the non-certfiied teachers know they need to be getting it done before 2026-27 school year or they won't be rehired.

Yeah this is true, it will depend though Places like Austrlia and American international require their OWN documents were many of the others including RMIT just require a Master's cegre typically
This has some what always been the case. These changes in English in my honest opinion and with what i "Know" are not going to be affected really at all, nor make any changes as no laws, rules, or regualations have been changed that would force them too.
If we break it down to simple terms High Schools no longer require English scores to graduate, thus basic Unis are now having to adjust to this and Centers are going to have to change their business plans and fast
I've already worked with 4 centers on their future marketing ideas..i tell ya some of these guys are getting desperate (The center owners and managers) on what they are willing to do

Ok so what are those 3 English centers that you think will survive? I won't bother applying for anything else.

I would imagine VUS, ILA, and Apollo. I was full time at VUS for 5 years and switched over to a Billigual School last year and did a US Teaching certification but still keep VUS as part time since my pay rate is high. But I will say the company has changed since I joined in 2018. Some more non-native than before as well as expanding to different programs. Lastly the super big centers are no more as they company wants to have smaller centers across Vietnam.

I REALLY wish i could answer this fully but there are reasons i cannot as i am seen by many that well yeah..
BUT i wil say to Braod's answer on the 3 schools
1 School he is 100% correct
1 School can afford to survive this and i've worked with them on their 2025 plans But not 1 of the 3
1 School is hype and nothing more it'll be gone

Dude I appreciate your honesty but you come across so negative. Heck why should anybody even try anymore.

      @EndlessTravels  Місяць тому

Ohh no no its not about negative its about putting the level of seriousness on this and those that are going to come which i hope they do are Focused and put their A game in to it.
I am in no way saying not to come, BUT with that the golden days of just showing up with a smile and BOOM your hired are defently gone and not returning.
Im going to be posting a community post soon tonight about this in relation to it as Native and None Native teachers in gov level schools (Public) are being told this MIGHT be their final semester they offer English.
This is due to parents this and next week are being asked to pay their quarterly fees and are being advised English is no longer a test requirement.
In short if i could ever keep things short ha? Come 100%, BUT bring your A game, its going to get harsh , and this isn't just Vietnam its MOST of SE Asia if not all of it. Vietnam was the last country that kind of had the "Easy way in"
Oddly Vietnam is now the ONLY country that doesn't require English as an entry skill to Uni any more which is a bld move and there is reasoning behind it but sadly i cannot openly address with this without ummm yeah i just cant
So not being negative just being direct, i've seen a lot of videos sugar coating this and i get well over 50 emails a week asking me what is going on, this is the direct answer to it.
If you are coming out have questions on what to have and what to expect 100% ask away im here to help...the game isn't over, it jsut got a LOT harder

Honestly I don’t know why anyone would bother anymore, vietnam is not the place for English teachers to go anymore
