Great video John, you must find some great fishing spots on your trips, you mentioned your battery getting low,you just need a power pack, they are really handy,I use one when I’m away for the likes of my iPhone or iPad,I know you don’t take wildlife photos but I am hoping for some fish 🐟 in one of your water shoots 😎keep clicking pal😎
Still going through some of your old videos, John. Great location, I love Loch Ard and the forest, and so handy for Aberfoyle for some lunch afterwards!
Great video . Were heading there a week on monday for a week . Walking in the forest and taking my boat for loch ard spot of fishing . Looking forward to it not been for aroubd 10 years to aberfoyle so cant wait cheers . Subcribed
Looking to visit here for the first time, might even do so for a pet shoot, but I think that walk is like 5 hours which is the only thing. What I can say from the wee bit I've seen, the forest looks stunning, a lot of mess, logs and different coloured plant life, etc. I can see why it's a wonderful spot to go do landscape.
I presumed it was Lochan Spling but I don't recognise it. Is it Lochan a' Ghleannain (and you dodged the pronunciation :-) Lovely place for a sunset shot in winter.
Wonderful shots. Can I ask if your photos are straight from camera or have you had to photoshop at all? Also, do you use filters or polarisers much? Loving your videos.
@@JohnMcKennaPhotography I just watched your other video about 10 things not to say to a photographer. I hope I didn't offend by asking about photoshop. 🙄🤦♀️ It wasn't my intention. Your photos are stunning. Thank you for your reply.
@@JohnMcKennaPhotography I did. I wish I had watched that one first though. Oops. 🤣. Scotland is the most amazing place to photograph and you really are spoilt for choice with locations. I would love to be able to take awesome images. Mine are more like snapshots compared to yours. I am getting better though so hopefully as I learn more my photography will improve. I take my camera everywhere with me. Landscape photography is amazing.
@@ravenlunatic2627 the only way to improve is to take more photos, practice and enjoy what you're doing. Do you have an instagram or facebook page for your photography? Would like to see your images from the Highlands when you post them!
So this is how it all started!! Glad you kept at it! 😊 I don’t do Facebook, so I would never have stumbled across your work without UA-cam. Thank you.
well that was a blast from the past! Just re-watched that video for the first time in 3 years... cringing here!
Just like your attitude & presentation John. Your so relaxed & calm + your images are beautiful.......
Thanks Graham!

Thanks! Yeh, I like Aberfoyle and the Loch Ard area. Probably one of my default locations when I've only got a limited time to shoot
Good vlog, thanks!
Thanks! :)
I love this, especially not being able to get out much recently, it looks like heaven :) xxxx

Definitely worth a visit. There are shorter walks there too

Yes! It's Lochan a'Ghleannain. A great wee spot in all seasons! Particularly nice in winter when the lochan freezes over!

Thanks Kat! I use photoshop a little, but, usually only to correct things like contrast or colour cast. I try not to overly photoshop anything.
