- We were pre warned that the very north of Scotland can have challenging winter weather conditions, with that in mind we ventured further north to the coastal town of Wick where we were caught out with Storm Isha and our most dangerous van life time in Scotland to date.

We were in our van up scotland. We just got inland and wasn't to bad. Sick of the weather ppl naming the storms it's winter lol nothing unusual x
we where 20 miles from john o grouts and got a danger to life message at nearly midnight so to dangerous to drive and had to just keep everything crossed nothing hit us
@NorthernersonTour yeah we stayed put in a sheltered place 2 days before the storm. Made sure we had everything we needed and sat it out.

Great vlog glad your'e both safe after the storm. That's the problem with strong winds you don't know where to park for the best. It was like someone had thrown jugs of water off the roof.
Lived here 14 years and that has never happened before.

Glad you both got through the storm, it was a very scary time. It was bad enough in the house and lots of damage to roofs etc in our village. We had one day of peace before the next one came, never had as many so close together. Stay safe. Poor Chico most probably motion sickness😢. Xx

That looks lovely in the snow, I prefer looking around in the colder fresher weather, it's often too hot to enjoy in the summer. Hilarious how Mark always finds some water, you must have extra washing with all his mishaps. Hope Chico is feeling better now!

Mark, you are the gift that keeps on giving! Always good fun'n'puns on N.O.T lol😅 That storm wasnt funny though and I'm glad you guys are ok. I remember what it used to be like in a motorhome in bad weather. Those high sides are a liability in strong winds. best choice to avoid moving to the coast again. To finish on a positive note again though, the video editing used the content and music brilliantly. I don't know which of you both do the editing but kudos to some great work. Loved the video. I was out in my van for Storm Isla. I sought out a spot with no trees nearby and parked my nose into the wind. Slept all night. Yes it was a lovely moon that night when I was stargazing!! xx

Wick looks a nice place, I bet very pretty in the summer months., if it’s nice this time of year. Yes I remember wickers world. Yes that’s when Lisa it gets real slippery underfoot as well. I don’t like it like that, I have fear of falling. Maybe like you say that why so many are in the tea shop, that’s the meeting place I like your music choices.

Growing up in Scotland, we had a lot of gales. We just called it a good drying day. 😅
I remember walking home from school one day, l literally had to hold on to a lamp post, so l wouldn't blow away. 😮
Watch Tesco car parks they have the usual car park signs for 3 hours, but some apparently have different time slots with 15 minute maximum parking

Stayed in Wick when I was with a bunch of guys that did a charity run from John o Groats to Lands end. I drove. I swear I didn’t sleep one wink in all that time. And they were leap frog running. Very surreal time. I drove a van. Amazing experience. Not one I would repeat however. lol.
I was in glasgow in 2nd home at the time and it was howling. it's the worst storm I've seen in 50 years.
it was terrifying we got the red alerts so late we had no time to act

I live in west central Scotland just on the outskirts of Glasgow in Paisley & the furthest North I’ve been is Inverness 😢. I have often wondered what it’s like up in Wick and further north in Scotland and what life is like in these little towns and villages?
