Renowned around the world as one of the greatest and most distinctive heavy metal vocalists of all time, Bruce Dickinson is best known as the lead singer of the iconic British band, Iron Maiden, who he joined in 1981 and who have sold well over 100 million albums. He has also become globally renowned as an author, pilot, broadcaster, brewer, businessman, sportsman, spoken-word performer, screenwriter and internationally successful solo artist.
His first solo album, Tattooed Millionaire, was released in May 1990, with its follow-up Balls To Picasso four years later (1994). It was on this second album that Dickinson first started working with guitarist Roy Z and despite a one album hiatus, he was joined again by him for all his subsequent solo studio albums - Accident Of Birth (1997), The Chemical Wedding (1998) and Tyranny Of Souls (2005).
Always on the back burner was a desire to create another solo musical project and in 2021 Dickinson finally had the opportunity to focus on that anew. He turned once more to Roy Z to work on some unfinished ideas together and that rapidly became his forthcoming seventh studio album: The Mandrake Project

My favorite song from Bruce Dickinson's solo career. Pure and absolute masterpiece!
Everyone perfers Bruce with maiden. Even lost most his fans going solo. Personally I like it equally to maiden but received no radio play so went mostly unheard. Who wants to buy a album you ain't heard? Especially this genre because hit or miss has been the way it's been with most metal bands.

Lest we forget the nothing-short-of-legendary basswork by Eddie Casillas - in the chorus you can hear the Latin vibes, how the bass ia doing totally its own lead thing that fits perfectly in the place!

This track is far better than many of the latest Maiden tracks. It is modern but classic, has good chorus, great structure. Totally awesome

Fantastic track but no better than best songs on A Matter of Life and Death for example. Or Final Frontier, Book of Souls. Late Maiden is also a bit more complicated.

This song is a highly intricate and emotional heavy metal masterpiece that even amidst the heavy riffage and dark lyrics (albeit full of wisdom) shimmers like celestial presences.
But it is the highly melodic solo and the epic choir chants in the outro that bring me to my knees every time 🥺

I'd say that Bruce gets the all time top spot for songwriting AND vocal ability but then he'd have to share it with history and humanity.😂😊

Fácilmente se puede decir que esta es la canción de Iron Maiden que todos los fans esperábamos en ese momento y por lo cual le estamos infinitamente agradecido a Bruce, por haberla hecho por su cuenta y sin estar en la banda, porque Iron Maiden jamás volvió a sacar nada bueno.
