Scoundrel Days is a masterpiece, and I decided to make this video because I always wanted to watch a video for this song that wasn’t just a mix of clips that went well with the music. I wanted a video that could almost look like an official one, that kept a dark aesthetic, that didn’t look like it was made decades ago (ergo all the changes in the color balance and remasterization work that I made), that made sense with the lyrics (and I’m not talking only about the lip movements, I actually tried to show my own personal interpretation of the meaning of this song), etc. In other words, I decided to put all my effort and capabilities in honor of this song, and for the joy of the fans like me that never got the video for Scoundrel Days they wanted. It was a really dificult and time consuming process, but I think it was worth it. I really hope that the A-ha community enjoys this video, as much as I enjoyed making and now watching it.
