Am I alone to see Richard Ashcroft could be singing this song, they have similar phrasing, and the voices aren't super different either. Perhaps they should've had formed a super group. Or get Butler in the Verve when McCabe didn't feel like it anymore. Still not too late I guess, Ashcroft's good solo but lacks a guitar master beside him.

I know Bernard auditioned with the Verve around 96' for a few sessions but they opted to get McCabe back in with him being the original. Would love to see Ashcroft and Butler make music together...

He was playing with The Verve before McCabe rejoined. Reckon it would have been a bit MOR based on respective solo outputs.
