all of that sound just by changing out the downpipe? i have a 2024 R as well and currently exhaust shopping. A complete system would be ideal, but if its really just the downpipe that needs to be replaced to liven it up, would be a much cheaper route to go.
I never did one on a MK7.5 R but my understanding is that the driveshaft either needs to come out fully or you need to drop the subframe on the 8s. The cat is just that much bigger on the 8s that you can't just shift it to the side like you could on the 7s. Though, I've only done a MK7 GTI and MK8 R not a MK7 R, so this isn't first hand knowledge . I think it is way easier to drop the subframe than it would be to drop the driveshaft or struggle to manouver a pipe out with a driveshaft still in the tunnel...
Cross climate 2s? I love them tires. Sounds good tho and doesn’t have that dsg “fart” people talk about. I’m considering a 25 golf r when they come out later this year. I heard they’re going back to physical buttons on the steering wheel and maybe an upgraded computer so the OS runs better for the screens and the Apple CarPlay sound issues (that I’ve heard 1 person talk about so idk if it’s widespread)
It dosent have the dsg fart because it’s a manual and I’m not shifting. The steering wheel controls are fine, it’s the climate control that is annoying and they didn’t add back manual controls, however, the 2025 Audi s3 might keep manual controls and now has the golf R rear differential (imo the s3 is the way to go for 2025!)
@@VWTalk yeah I thought it probably was a manual, a lot of ones being sold by me are automatics so I defaulted to that. it sounds good! A good Inline 4 with a good exhaust sound great together And honestly I work in a shitty part of a city and have and I want to feel less bad about endangering an audi vs a vw tbh Those manual buttons should be on the vw tho, who doesn’t like manual buttons
With the trackslag pipe and stock fatback on the highway, no. Though it did drone in some situations. I added an 8y Audi s3 resonator for $100, and it’s now perfect. Zero drone just throaty non raspy noises.

Oh man sounds like a race car. Crazy pops
is the process of installing a downpipe on the MK8 the same as the MK7.5?

Does it through a code?

@@VWTalk Did the resonator change the sound at all from the outside? and do you have any clips after the s3 Resonator install?
@@VWTalk did you get the Audi resonator at an Audi dealership? I couldn’t find it online
@@JuanAlmasque-e4r there is a part number but I got it used off a car that was 2 months old for a steal.
