Ugh I’ve had IV contrast. I’m traumatized from the experience. when I first got sick, we decided to do a CT scan and the hospital told me I had to drink liquid contrast before the appointment. Supposedly it was vanilla flavored but it tasted like I was drinking warm Liquid Metal. I was so nauseous, and was already throwing up daily and couldn’t keep it down. So the morning of the appointment my mom called, and their response was “oh it doesn’t matter we can give her contrast through the IV.” 😖 I also got super hot. The nurses warned me I would feel like I had an accident on the table, it was so weird. For 2 weeks afterwards I’d wake up with a metallic taste in my mouth. Have you ever heard of the reliefband nausea bracelet? I get really nauseous and the reliefband helps level you out. I highly recommend looking into getting one ( you can get a sport version that is waterproof for when you are at the pool😉).
Omg that's wild that they made you drink it!! I didn't even know that was a thing. IV seems sooo much simpler. and I haven't heard of that but I'm def looking into it!! thank you so much for telling me about it!
I hope ur scan goes well. I live not to far away from Cumming! I live in Gainesville GA:) i have several conditions

Small world, I live in Cumming! So annoying you had to drive that far for the scan!
It is a small world! It was annoying but I feel like at this point I'm getting use to it since I drive to ATL all the time!
