I did indeed. Yesterday I also had my first personal bridge lesson in a club in Vienna. Lot of theory, which is important of course. But what I missed there and for those found in your class is the practical explanations, when to play without trump rather than with trump and to prefer length over strength for instance. This I somehow missed in the personal lesson and found very very helpful! Thank you once again
Hi Mary - thank you for your question. If your opponent bids, you don’t need 13 points to bid. If you bid now, it’s called an ‘Overcall’ and you can have fewer points with a good 5-card suit to make the bid. This is covered in Lesson 5 of the Learn to Play Bridge course. I hope this is helpful.
