Not even tryna hate cause he’s a sick drummer and his past cover videos were dope and creative drum parts written to simple mainstream music but he’s basically brought generic basic overplayed metal fills into popular mainstream pop music with a very popular big pop artist in chain smokers that every beginner/intermediate metal drummer learns in the earlier stages of their drumming process. Just judging on this clip alone, these are the most basic double pedal metal fills. But luckily all their fan base and pop music in general are mostly casual listeners and not crazy attention to detail musicians who hear and listen to every hit like in metal music haha but either way he’s makin big money and deserves to be playing for a big artist like chainsmokers and livin the life doin what he loves. Nothing but respect at the end of the day
Yeah totally get you! I would say to that even though they might be overplayed, no one plays them like Matt Mcguire😂. His covers on UA-cam show his true talent, he's got his scripted drum fills in his set yk?
Man is a legend, he's a great drummer and brings amazing rock fills into the pop world of music. Awesome time and plays with ease. Love this guy❤
