This is not only the most epic adventure we've ever been on, but it's also the biggest video project I've ever edited. I took me many many weeks to finalize this video, so if you liked it, I would be so happy if you could share it with someone 😊❤ Make sure to follow Matti and Stina on their channel: www.youtube.com/@JOKKMOKKGUIDERNA
Kalle, I literally could not wait to grab a drink and see this new video you made. What a great adventure! I remember taking a canoe out on a 3-day trip down the Colorado River here in the states, and I could feel your excitement and understand that "high" you were on the whole time. Thanks for sharing this!
My favourite moment was definitely seeing you both cuddle the huskies. It was so obvious that the dogs love it. There's been criticism about sledding dogs in competitions but this video really showed me how much these dogs love it and are cared for. Some really beautiful moments between animals and humans, and also you two sharing a challenging experience together! Also loved some of the music choices!
@@medusaslair I'm not disregarding that competitive dog sledding is awful. I was merely saying it was clear that these dogs (in this video) which are not competitive sledders were enjoying cuddles and having fun. And if you saw at the start of this video the dogs were in a large outdoor pen. I'm sure not all dogs used for tourism live in the same conditions...
That means a lot to hear, thank you ❤ It actually several days to find all the "correct" music tracks! And some of the drone shots have been filmed by Matti as well 😊
It was super nice to see this video. Nice to see everything from your point of view. It was also lovely to be out with you on the trail. We had a nice time with very interesting talks out there. I hope we can make it again soon. ...and thanks for recommending our youtube channel. See you! / Matti (and Stina) and the dogs
I feel like I just watched a Netflix documentary & there should be credits at the end for a whole production & editing team! It’s absolutely amazing that you made this by yourself, at the same time as going on the actual journey. Just phenomenal! 💛
The dogs love you. I understand😊💕 Still also for the dogs it's hard work. Years ago I followed my dream of mushing a sledge with dogs...in Sarkimukka Sweden☺. I still today remember the names of my furry team: Tilly, Tweety, Viper, Kasik. There I saw that it is also very hard work for the dogs. Especially for the older ones. And I witnessed how the dogs are opportunists. When they get the chance, they want to be with you under your blanket, warm and safe😉. Beautiful video again!
That's was incredible journey! Thank you Kalle for sharing your emotions and feelings with us! And of course amazing views up there! Very appreciated! 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
Hi Kalle , I like your videos. You are so caring and loving person. They way you love dogs are so beautiful to see that how gently and lovingly we can connect with all life form 😊. Wonderful. Thanks for making such beautiful content with so much love and effort 🙏
Wow that was incredible and the dogs were so gorgeous. I cant believe you had a Border Collier leading the pack I never thought that breed would be able to thrive there, I thought it would only be huskies. Both of you did amazing and shouldnt ever doubt your abilities from now on. Matti was amazing and the dogs all had such wonderful personalities.
Annie, our border collies is not really leading the teams but running in front of just for fun. She doesn't have the thick, double coated fur as a husky and always sleeps in the tent or in the cabins. Happy you liked the video. Later on we will release Mattis version of the trip on our channel, so keep an eye 😉. /Matti & Stina
Oh wow what amazing footage, you are very talented. What an experience! How beautiful and strong are those huskies, I love all the cuddles and attention you gave them. ❤ Christine you did an amazing job, my heart was in my mouth just watching and goosebumps everywhere. Thank you Kalle for sharing…..epic! 🤍❄️
Simply awesome! I am so inspired to get out and explore the world. Man, this puts a smile on my face! The world is amazing. Thank you for showing it to us.
Just incredible. All your films are incredible and insightful but this film is truly your best yet. It's amazing. The music the composition. The moments of knowledge , the moments of reality from yourself and Christine. You have a chance to watch a video and have a chance to say this is possible, I want this, I can do that too. I have had this only once before where I ended up on an island in Norway. I know I will visit this location . And evenmore so because of this video. You capture every essence of this 4 day trip in a real and raw way. Incredibly greatful for this content
Majestic and real. Simple and stunning. Absolutely the adventure of a lifetime. I’m surprised at how often I see no gloves on your hands. The dogs are so beautiful and loving. Thanks for the outstanding video.
This was well worth the wait! Excellent film making, Kalle ✨🙌✨. What an amazing accomplishment for you and Christine to travel such a distance! Thank you for sharing this epic adventure 🙏🙂. It was beautiful ✨
Thank you for this amazing video of your journey with the beautiful dogs. I never knew a Border Collie could lead and run so far. Christine was so brave. This deserves to go viral in my humble opinion.
what an amazing video, Kalle 😍❤️ I am deeply touched. Thank you for making such a beautiful video and letting us be part of it. When Christine was just about to start and she said she is so nervous now, I could really feel with her and I got goosebumps all over my body when the dogs started to run. 😮 amazing work, Kalle! You captured it so well and with the perfect music and stuff, so one could really dive into the video and feel all the emotions! 👏🏻 and Matti has such a cool personality! 🙂
I did not want it to end either. I cried many times while watching, with JOY. The feeling of freedom; miraculous nature; being led by the lovely dogs.... I hope I can be there some day. Thank you so much for sharing this jurney. What a wonderful experience.
What an amazing adventure, filmed in such a great, cinematic and storytelling way. I felt all the emotions and struggles, and elation! Great video, Kalle! Thanks so much for sharing!
This is a MA-STERPIECE ! I got so many goosebumps. The music choices and assembly...Wow I think it's the best you've offered us so far. And big congrats to Christine for being such an amazing and strong woman. Also can we notice the added-value of Matti's participation in the filming and talking ?! That is just a stunning piece of work, thanks for taking us into this journey.
Hi Kalle and Christine from Northeast Georgia USA, We are followers of your channel and wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed this video. The raw beauty of nature, the excitement and adventure that this video presents was fantastic. The drone footage, the music, the cinematography and those beautiful sled dogs was captivating. The honesty and emotions from you Kalle, Christine and Matti were heartwarming. Thank you for your hard work. We are aware of how difficult it is to create this content, (masterpiece).
Kalle, I have a big change coming next year. Going to leave Washington State and moving closer to my daughter in Texas. Im overwhelmed but also excited 😆
So many good vibes and stunning views in this video ! I felt like I was watching a movie. It was challenging, intense, but you did it 💪 . A perfect example of how to get out of your comfort zone. Thank you for sharing this adventure with us !

Wow, what a great and wonderful journey. Great filming and editing. Could have watched for hours👍❤️ Than you for evety minute you invested and shared with that film 🙋🏼♀️🇨🇭
This adventure was stunning-- epic drone shots and music! I was totally along for the ride and empathically blown away by the beauty of nature and by the irrepressible spirit and energy of the huskies. Everyone's personality shone and the group narrative flow added a great through line. It's really true, adventures and extremes push us to grow beyond our edges, internal and external. What a ride! PS I have a new husky family so will be practicing sledding for the first time this coming winter-- can't wait! We'll see how my video skills progress to be able to craft our experience. Your memorable journey is an inspiration. Thank You.
It's the most beautiful video I've ever seen on UA-cam. ❤ Congrats !! This trip is magical, I would love to make it one day too... thank's for sharing this adventure with us. Love from France
Hei Kalle! Thanks for a really nice video. 50min (!) of wonderful footage in harsh conditions. It was fun to join you on this different kind of journey throught highs and lows. Take care! from Norway.
My dream, and a life goal to live in the forest like you one day. It's like looking at an older version of myself somehow or a big brother that I never had
HI Kalle and Christine, THANK YOU for sharing this exciting Arctic trip with the sled dogs! The scenery is unbelievably beautiful!!! WOW! AND The Northern Lights!!! What a fulfilling vacation!
Wow!!! What an amazing video! Trip of a lifetime! You and Christine are such an inspiration! Thanks for sharing such an incredibly beautiful video!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️
That was an amazing journey and such a privilege to take part in it from my safe little cabin - while it’s spring and easy living here right now seeing this actually made me long for those harsh Nordic winters again 🌬❄️. I think you did such a good job of telling the story as well, really took us with you and I felt so immersed into your trip - definitely something I would like to see more, although I sympathise that behind these fifty minutes of video are weeks of not months of planning and probably the same putting it all together afterwards! So thank you again, and well done to you both ! 😁👍✨
WOW what a journey. An incredible experience for you both and thank you for sharing. Incredible footage that made me quite emotional. I visited Norway last year and tried husky sledding, in the summer. Since then i have been talking non stop about doing this and its on my manifest board. xx
Wow! This is a beautiful documentary of 4 days of great cinematography: The dogs, the insanely fantastic Arctic landscape, Christine's acclimation to the exhausting exercise, the close-ups on the amazing Huskies (which touchingly reminded me of the film, 8 BELOW) that awesome down-hill run! Wow, an episode I'll never forget! Kalle and Christine, you are commendable in what you set your mind to, truly!
This has got to be my favourite yet and have watched it 3 times as there's just something incredibly soothing about the snow and animals.I live in Australia but was truly blessed and will never forget our Arctic experience sledding with the huskies in Tromso and Kirkenes.I do remember the headaches though one day even whist wearing sunglasses from the snow and know you can experience snowblindness in the Arctic due to the reflection of the sun onto the snow.x
This is an amazing video Kalle. 😊 Also cuteness overload. 😄 If you have enough footage of the dogs, you should definitely do some short ASMR video of these cute fluffy paws 💙😄.
Absolute beautifully captured, I could really feel the rollercoaster of being loaded with this scenery, the physical activity, the gratitude to the dogs and all that crazy logistic with food, clothing, camping gear... WOW! Tack for this high quality documentary, the effort must have been insane!
OMG, I just cried in the middle of the video! At that moment I felt like I was there and I reeeeeeally didn`t want to go back. Last autumn I had an unforgettable experience of almost being lost in the woods. I was in the mountain forest with my friends, it wasn`t high in the mountains, and it`s generally much warmer here, so there was no snow and relatively warm. So I went for a walk alone, I didn`t plan it to be long, so there was no flashlight with me, no matches, nothing. So I walked up to the mountain, and then to the higher mountain, and from there I saw a really nice looking little mountain in the direction about 45 degrees from where my camp was. So I decided to go there and from the top of that mountain straight across the wood towards my camp. Not the smartest decision when the evening is coming, but there I was. On my way I saw roedeers and realized that it`s much wilder part of the forest. So when I finally entered the forest it started to getting dark, but I obviously had no other choice, going back the same way would take me most of the night. I`m good with the directions, and everything was quite well until I stumbled upon the creek that I thought was the creek running near my camp, but that was actually the other one. So that creek took me off the way. So when I found out, that at some point I started walking the opposite direction I`m supposed to, then I realized that something went wrong:) And it was already dark! So I checked my location at my phone, realized that I fucked up, and continued. The phone was discharging really quickly by flashlights, middle of the forest, no matches, no people around, wild animals may appear... I started thinking that I might really spend the night in the woods if I will not be able to find the way back until the phone shuts down. I wasn`t afraid of the actual idea, but perspective of being cold and therefore no sleeping, as well as wild animals around - this really made me nervous. So everything ended well eventually - I crossed a stream, saw a rare species of blue slims, climbed a very steep hill (I was shocked when I saw it in a daylight, I would never think somebody actually could climb at that angle, but I was already in total panic at that point) and came to my camp with 1% phone charge (real miracle). And the point of this whole story is - I felt SO alive! So strong and powerful, my friend in the camp said that she never saw me so vigorous and excited (and she knows me for a long time). It`s amazing when you feel you can do something really important, you can manage yourself in the woods alone, you can climb that impossible hill, then you can PHYSICALLY feel you`re capable of overcoming this challenge. And this video made me feel the same feeling. Beaty, and struggles, and overcoming challenges, and feeling alive. I miss it.
I know this feeling to a degree, walking across the north of England a few times. You meet yourself in an elemental way, face every emotion, every physical obstacle. Well done you two! .
Thank you so much Kalle for this video ! We watched it when you published it last year and... we felt in love with the adventure. So... we booked a 4 days trip with Matti, Stina & the dogs this winter ! It has been a wonderful experience, but really really really too short : we will come back for a longer trip, I'm sure ! Thank's to you, I have fulfilled a litte girl dream. Thanks !
@@KalleFlodin we did and it was thanks to you and your work ! You should have warned us in your video that it was too short 🙃😍 This corner of Sweden is really lovely and keeps calling me back for years and years... Thanks for the discovery of dogsledding with Matti ! Love from France.
"A happy life is not found, It's created" Well said. I absolutely agree with your statement. Thank you for your effort, and dedication to creating this video. I trust you both had a magical and unforgettable experience. :) Btw, these dogs are adorable.
You did it! Congratulations to you for finishing such a big video project. How do you feel? I just watched the beginning and was drawn into the beautiful droneimages and I love the map. Decided it is too good to watch on a small screen so I will watch the rest on my tv 😊
What an honor to learn about your adventure and to watch such beautiful footage. Strong work on all of your parts. WITH TREMENDOUS GRATITUDE FOR SHARING THIS.
To see Gods work with your own eyes… miraculous. Words don’t describe the beauty he created. Thank you for sharing with someone who will never be as fortunate to see in person.
Thank you Kalle for this absolutely amazing video. I´m deeply touched, because I have been to this area 10 years ago in summer, hiked the kungsleden and also did a day hike to the top of the Skierffe. Being in this untouched and indescribably beautiful nature was for me one of the best experiences of my life. I think I felt exactly the same you discribed Kalle. I had goosebumps and tears in my eyes the whole time watching your video. So thanks to you and Christine for sharing this adventure. You are such inspiring brave people! And you did an amazing job with editing this video. It´s great. Lots of love from the south of Germany to you guys!

I miss it.
So so good Kalle. Thank you for bringing this too us
I know this feeling to a degree, walking across the north of England a few times. You meet yourself in an elemental way, face every emotion, every physical obstacle. Well done you two! .

Thank you for sharing your journey! I love Christine when she is so tired, she just giggles and eats chocolate. Haha! Way to go to both of you!
Haha yes she has figured out what life is really about 😉❤️
