Great finds. The lampshade is beautiful. The shape, the colouring, the pattern. If I were you I would photograph it and blow it up then trace the pattern. That way if you ever want to reuse that pattern that’s probably one of a kind now you can easily paint it onto an off white material (You get the fabric gel stuff that means it won’t bleed out the lines and it disappears when ironed, then it’s just colouring in. So simple. And truly I would also use that pattern framed as a piece of art. It was expensive but worth it ❤️ And if you want that aged vintage background colour natural dying at home using onions or spices give great tones for that.

I agree, the prices were quite a bit to expensive! I saw lots of great pieces that i would love to have! But I also saw pieces that i already have & didn't pay near their sticker price.🤷♀️ It differs store to store tho. I love sconces! I've got several that are singles, still pretty in gallery walls or in certain areas where something small is needed. The train is actually pretty cute, love that coppery color! The small bottle is an apothacary bottle or used for oil and/or vinegar. I have a collection that I've filled one of the open shelves in my kitchen with. I think they're so pretty! I started collecting the actual decanters, but i don't have very many, there's so many things i collect & want, those have kind of taken back seat,🤷♀️ I'm sure I'll pick them back up one day. Probably not the original stopper. Always love A copper piece, that's a cute one! Now i really love the oil lantern! I have a decent collection, a sizes & colors.. and always room for more! I collect old lamps also, i have several oil lamp style lamps that i just adore!😊 Thats a really pretty one with the chamber style handle. Back before electricity was invented the candle holders & lanterns had the little handle to carry them. The bedrooms were upstairs in the old Victorian or farm style homes, and the ladies called them their chambers.. so the candle holders & lanterns with rings are called chamber lanterns & chamber candle holders! So some you find could possibly be really old! I google Lens everything to find out the age & value.. if it looks old. Of course most times, not always tho, you can tell if its a replica. I use all mine for decor only, i don't actually burn them. It looks like it has some copper or brass, can't really tell, but that's not to bad on the price & if it is then that's a good price i think.. that's where google lens is a big help! Besides you never know, I've found some real treasures dirt cheap! I love that shade!!❤ Of course collecting lamps, shades comes with that! And sometimes I change out shades or buy shades then find the right lamp! That could actually be vintage, it does look like it, especially with the petina of the metal & that price.. another piece i would google Lens.. and at least you would know for certain! It could actually be worth more 🤷♀️ Its beautiful regardless! It looks really good on that lamp! If the lamp itself gets that petina look it would be beauty too, but everybody don't care for the petina'd brass. Lol its addicting girl, if you but one old lamp or shade, you'll want more & more! I basically use only lamps in the living room & bedroom, i have multiple lamps in all the rooms and more in my storage room waiting for a shade😄 Love where & how you styled everything! Great haul, enjoyed! TFS😊
Ooo thank you for telling me about the apothecary bottle!! I figured it wasn’t an actual decanter but it’s nice to know for sure. I love it, it sounds like we thrift for similar things! I have quite a few oil lanterns too. Haven’t used mine either but in a power emergency, they are pretty great to have! You are also so right about wanting more and more. Yesterday I picked up another lamp and lampshade (not as great as this lampshade but still I definitely see the appeal of mix and matching lol). Trust me, I could talk all day about this stuff too and so happy to talk anytime! 😄😄
